Hi every one, I've been visiting this form for quite some time now. great advice just from reading everything. I own a 2003 Chevy 2500 extended cab 4 door short bed. It has a lift kit on it some nice wheels and tires, gooseneck hitch installed with trailer brakes. And a few other nice things. Now that I actually signed up for the forum I'll be getting a lot more information from everybody and asking questions. But mostly I use the search function first and then ask. That's it for now I'm going to be trolling the forum looking for information now.

Just a little over an hour from me too. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

thanks every one for the welcome. Im in a bind. I lost my job a few weeks ago and then my head gaskets and injectors went bye bye. Im scraping by, I had to barrow money just for the head gasket kit and now I need injectors. they were doing some hazing as the HG's Went. I dont really want to do this but I think once I have the heads checked at the shop and i put it all back together. Im going to have to put the old injectors in. Any suggestions as to a DIY cleaning and rebuild? the injectors where replaced in 2006 with new ones per warranty. I know its the old POS style and not the newer better ones. I would much rather buy new injectors and just be done but i am not able to do that at this time. please any suggestions would be very helpful. I am on the duramax forum as well. i explained this there, i was thinking of doing a go fund me or something. and using it a kind of a loan type of thing and pay every one back when I find work. what do you guys think?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, I went through something similar a few years ago... lost a job, sold my first lb7 (couldn't tune it, corrupt ecm/tcm/bcm), bought another and had the balance rates checked before I bought it.. they were all 0's! Thought hell yeah! 9 days after I bought it, it was billowing white smoke at idle (enough to clear out a gas station). Had to replace all 8 injectors.

Since then, I Have used this stuff once or twice a year and it seams to keep the pump and injectors really healthy... You could try it to clean the injectors and CP3 out and see if it helps. My balance rates usually drop a fair amount after the treatment. You mix the quart in with a half gallon of diesel and bottle feed the truck for 2-3 hours. You connect a 1/2" hose to the fuel feed line behind the turbo and a 3/8" hose to the return line and put them both in the gas can. The hardest part is finding the actual BG stuff.

Hopefully this helps, and again sorry to hear about the ruff times man :(

Use the ac Delco stuff.

There was an issue with your scanner or something. There is no such thing as 0 balance rates... Ever.
