I'm in the same boat, I don't want to go any further with my daily driver. This is the route I want to go. Congrats Jeff and I can't wait to see this go down the track! Please paint it white...

It's black now Mark and I don't like black! Money's tight so it may not get painted for a little bit. I also thought about a wrap but I think that's alot of money also. No gear vendors i'm just going with a 2.50 gear so see what happens. I need a big old honkin turbo that's makes power at 4500 and life will be good. Jeff

Jeff, maybe I missed it, but what kind of HP are you looking to make? 950 @ 2200lbs would put you in the high 6's-low 7's according to the calc. Are you trying to be top guy on both lists? Id love to see someone unseat Banks on the Top50 list, so if there's anything I can do to help, just ask.

No Tom i'm not trying to set any records. It would be nice but I don't have the money Banks has. I couldn't pay the tax on there taxes!!! lol I myself am financially embarrased!!!!lol!!! It should make 1000 hp but my tranny combo will give up some mph because of no lockup. Im not sure how much the et will suffer I hope not more than a couple tenths. I'm going to a big single cp3 just to make things simple so I hope that doesn't hurt me also. I need to talk to Shane and a few others on pumps to see what will work best for me. I need lots of help with this turd so i'm sure I will be bending a lot of people ears on this one. Jeff

Whats the advantage/ disadvantage of the non lock up converter? Would it be easier on parts? Or is that what you have to run with a glide? I don't know much about a glade this is why I ask.

It would be just like your truck without lockup, it will slow down. It will be easier on parts but a little slower. They make a lockup glide I just can't afford it. The lite weight will help a bunch but I need a convertor guy that's good doing the convertor. Jeff

Could one of the converter company's like Suncoast of Percision make I guess you would.call it a hybrid converter? Say allison billet front plate and then a glide cover to fit the trans? Or is that still more then what a converter would cost for our trucks now?

It might be worth talking to Ryan Tucker. He has more experience with non lockup diesels than anyone I can think of.

I'm sure Brayden can get you into a charger that fits the bill. Of course, there's others as well but I know you're familiar with & do business with them. :D

If real tight on money though, a T6 s480 can be had cheap enough & should be capable of close to enough air for that power, no? I know dodges that have gone 4-digits with one so surely a dmax can.

No nitrous?

Yep I will be runing a Fleece charger! I have had very good luck with them and they make big power. The Fleece shop has been very good to me and my racing in general. There tuning, injectors and turbo's have put me in the winners circle many times in the last 3 years. Without them I wouldn't have been able to have the sccess I have. Jeff

I want to thank Johnboy for taking some time and answering some question's. He gave me honest answers which I thank him for. The challenge goes on. I did pick up the rear gear today. A wopper 2.50. Jeff
