Testing new clutches that are high carbon content. These clutches are aggressive and work with minimal oil lubrication. Also going to test new BorgWarner clutches on Jasons truck.
I will have a new pressure regulator system and sealing rings for the big boys.
Already have billet C2 hub and Billet P2 planet.
Clutch material has been the only thing stopping the Alli from going 9's and possibly 8's. With these parts I believe the refreshes will be inexpensive.
Going to be interesting soon.

The high carbon content clutches, are these for racing purposes only or will you be able to run these in a daily driver without issue?

Keep updates for sure on the BorgWarner clutches:thumb:

The new carbon clutches are very streetable. I was impressed after the first road test how much the TAP's lowered pressure. This means it takes less pressure to hold these clutches. I have very high hopes for this clutch material.
The new BorgWarner clutches are out of the 2011 Allison. My sources at Allison claim it is the best clutch material they have used to date. It better be with the low pressures they are using in the '11.
I am going to let Jason beat the shit out of the BW's.

So maybe no trans build needed for LMLs?

You must be kidding.
The new Allison for 2011 was modified for better towing, not hot rodding. It may or may not be better for towing big loads untill tested. It runs cooler and the strategies in the TCM are interestingly good to a point. Big power and wide open throttle will hurt this trans.
