LB7: Need some alignment help?!

I have a 2004 silverado 2500HD and seem to be havin some alignment issues. The truck has cognito UCAs and it is raised to clear 305/55/20 on eagle 064 20x8.5 I have had it taken to the alignment rack several times and they are telling me they are out of camber adjustment(they can't get any more out of it), well after looking at it the drivers side camber adjustment is maxed out and the passenger side is not?! Also the adjuster on the passenger side is not screwed in nearly as far as the driver side. I'm really kinda at a loss on how to get my truck fixed. It's wearing the outside edge of the tires. Thanks in advance for input and help.

Stupid question but did you put the controll arms on the correct sides? I've seen it done before that's why I ask.

how high did you crank the front end? how much gap is between the UCA and its bumpstop? give us some details on how much lift you put in those bars and so on

There's roughly a half inch in between the stop and the uca, I can get pictures of the camber adjusters if needed

well i need a pic or a better measurment please of that gap :D. that will make or break an alignment. you should have 5/8" space between that bumpstop and the UCA. the cognito kits are only made to level the truck and go no higher.

How much camber is it off by or where is it currently?

Not sure how much it's off by exactly, the drivers side tire is at 0 camber, and the pass side is definitely at a positive camber. I'll snap some pictures tonight at work and figure out how to load them through tapatalk

hmm, well i re-read your post and see your having probs with the outer edge of the tires wearing. i was thinkin the opposite. if your over cranked, you should be having an issue with negitive camber, not postive. i suggest like madmatt said, go to a different shop. doesnt sound like they are either catching that you have a worn out part or their machine isnt quite working right.

is there anything else done to the front end besides the cognito UCA? like spindles or something?

I thought the same, if it's cranked up it should be pulling the top of the tire in not pushing it out. I've got it scheduled to go to a different alignment shop on Tuesday. Everything in the front end has been replaced, so there aren't any worn parts being overlooked. The front end doesn't have anything other than braces and uca kit and 1500 keys

SHOULDNT MATTER I HAD MINE CRANKed ALL THE WAY UP WITH 3" KEYS AND CUT THE STOP THAT KEEPS IT FROM TO MUCH DOWN TRAVEL AND STILL GOT THE CAMBER IN NO PROB.

mAKE sure you double check with a pry bar that the camber is fully extended out ive seen many times even though the cam that you turn to fold out the a arm is fully extended doesnt mean the a arm actually folded out. there a little pin that sits in the groove of the cam sometimes they snap off so when you turn it it doesnt fold the a arm out like its should.

actually it does matter. :thumb: not every truck is alike and hes not talking about being able to push the arm out away from the frame far enough to gain postive caster, his issue is the reverse. he needs more negitive caster ;)
