Get $12500 back and take it to Trent so it is done on time said. They can't be owed much if you helped do the work that's been done anyway. Next post the shop after you get out of there so the next victims don't get stuck in there. Kat said it all never pay in full for work before any work is done. That shop sat on it for a month after getting paid for the job prior to it's completion or start up. Pull out before the truck is scattered all over the shop etc. Who knows the worst the best is get gone. Why did you pay in full before it was even worked on? If they can't even inner-house finance the parts for your truck it looks bad. So much for what not to do next time. Good luck hope you get your money back.

"Howdy, you've had my money and my truck since xx/xx/20xx. What is the status?"

Then Call Every Day. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Have them send you pics of progress.

When they stop talking to you, then you have to start worrying.

If you paid with a CC, you might have recourse. Otherwise, at this point, you can only pressure them.

Well they don't take my phone calls too well so I have gone there a few times and I keep asking what's going on. They have told me a couple times the motor will be pulled tomorrow or this weekend but then when I check nothing has changed. They say they are behind and trying to catch up. But my thoughts is I'm sorry cause that's not my problem cause you shouldn't have said bring it in until they were ready or do other projects that came after mine until mine are finished.

I paid cash so the only thing I do have is pressure so hope it works cause this is a joke.

No need to not say Jake . I have nothing to hide , I am the shop in question , yes we are running behind , I am working till 2am every day 7 days a week , and yes your truck is coming in the shop after the one that was here leaves this evening you may be a good judge of what trucks are at my shop but I have over 15 jobs on my board and ship kits and orders all over the country, and the one that was here today the order was placed in beginning of February compared to your march , and yes the job can be completed in 2-3 weeks if i am working on nothing but your truck , I have to work on several projects at the same time , and the only reason the job is paid in full is I gave you 9k cash along with the the Invoice paid in full for your car , I didnt take payment on work not completed yet. If you would like to come by the shop and go over what I am working on to verify the orders were taken before yours you are welcome too . and if you think its a simple job to do Triple turbo's , injectors , head gaskets , head studs , ported heads , manifolds , up-pipes , modded regulator , and built transmission all in 1 sitting it takes a bit of time and it is not something you want rushed it should be built 100% correct and have been getting the jobs done that were taken before yours so your truck can get my full attention . Why did you not have the currage to talk to me about it when you were at the shop today ? I went to help Matt for a minute to break some up-pipe bolts looseand came back to talk to you and you were gone ? Hell Jake how many times have I let you comer use MY shop , tools , ect to do other work you wanted to get done on the truck while it was down ????? , I am sorry I am 3 weeks late but cant work any more hours in the day and am not going to put your before orders taken before yours as that is not fair to other customers who have been waiting longer than you , I am one guy and can only get so much work done in a day .

I have had Trent do work on my truck and stayed some late nights at his shop during it. I had trans and twins done on mine and it took a while. He goes full throttle till very early in the morning working on many things at once. Even knowing it would take a while and I would be without my truck I have no doubts I will bring it to him when its time for more upgrades.

Not that helps now. But, don't ever pay someone in full prior to work being done:(

Learned that the hard way more then once.

Depending what is being done to the motor it could take a month or so :( Longer if it has to go to a machine shop.
ditto never pay in full untill work is done and done to your satisfation. In this day and time the guy could shut down his shop and then you have to fight to get the truck back forget the money spent for motor work you didnt get. With nothing left to pay you have no leverage.

I completely agree , but I didn't take any of his money , I gave him 9 thousand dollars cash and the quote I gave him for the work paid in full in trade for his 2009 Pontiac G8 , it was in contract on the bill of sale when the truck had to be finished by and that date is still 2-3 weeks away . But agree it is the 100% best practice .

Trent, first off I know you're busy and I would have talked to you today but I wanted to be respectful and didnt want to say anything with your customer in there and you seemed like you were busy so I left plus I was pissed off when I saw my truck outside and not in the shop when you said it would be in the shop getting the motor pulled. We had just talked about that the day before.
I didn't say one word on the forum about you or your company becuase I wanted peoples thoughts and comments and input what they would do so never did I slander your name or your company.
I have seen the work you do and that's why I brought you my truck cause I know you do good work. Yes I have used your tools and your shop for work to help you save time on the build I did do a few things for myself yes but the others were part of the bid you gave me so I was just trying to help you out so you didn't have to worry about those things like the tie rods, cogs and pulling off the grille and radiator and intercooler which I was more then happy to do.

I provided the head studs, up pipes and manifolds, and I'm getting the heads done.

I can vouch that he goes full throttle til all hours of the night. I know I know I couldnt keep up when he helped me out, even after pounding a couple energy drinks. I was done at mdnight and he kept going til it was done at 3:30am.

I dont think he was trying to bash you, more like seeking opinion from others, he never said your name or shop. I think we would all be pretty excited for some tripples, atleast i know i would be.

Glad we talked tonight Jake and apologize for running late and all I can do is try to make surer the end product is worth the wait , we will get this figured out just wish a call or avenue would have taken place before thing went south for a short minute , but as with many things in life when both sides of the story are lade out and both perspectives are discussed progress is made .

Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry LOL lets all get along after all we are all one big family right

its all good , just a speed bump in the road of life .
