Well I'm new to this and I already have a problem. I'm getting turbo kit and some other mods and it’s around a $13,000 project. The problem I'm having is it's been in the shop for 4 weeks and hasn't been touched. I went and helped take off the grille and intercooler and all that so they could pull the motor and work on it and it's been 4 weeks and still in the same spot. So the question is what do I do? The biggest problem is it’s paid in full and has been since it went to the shop.

Not that helps now. But, don't ever pay someone in full prior to work being done:(

Learned that the hard way more then once.

Depending what is being done to the motor it could take a month or so :( Longer if it has to go to a machine shop.

Yes more then once have been told several times that the motor would be pulled and worked on. Went and asked about it yesterday and he said he would try and have it pulled today, and as of 2pm it wasn't, and sure doubt it will be today.

im sure your patience is very thin right now but these things do happen, shops get busy and sometimes custom work / special work runs over dead lines and gets off schedule. I'm sure you don't want to hear that... i hope everything works out for you

Yes you're right I'm learning fast just never thought it would be a problem. The project could be done within 2-3 weeks max. Which I was told 3-4 weeks prior to bringing it in.

Yeah it's pretty thin. I understand things happen but have also known other things to get worked on before mine, which were brought to them after mine was there.

For 13k what are you getting done head gaskets and studs and then the motor put back in then the turbo installed?

Well I bought some parts and brought them to have installed. But I'm getting injectors, CP3 regulator, CNC Heads, Head Studs, Trans, and a couple other things. It's like 17k total or so.

being in utah maybee u should have brought it to Trent of EPR. He is a supporting vendor on this site and is one of the main people i get my parts from and would trust to work on my truck i dont trust just anyone i mostly do all my own work just like for a trans i would use Mike L or Ben more supporting vendors but trustworthy people but this is my 2 cents

i know im probably missing a few vendors but thats who i can think of at this moment
