Check the fuse for the lighter in the fuse block. Also powers the DLC.

The BCM hangs off the low and high speed busses and is directly off of JX221 junction block under the dash. It is also the gateway between the low and high speed buses. If the low speed buss is down, the engine will not crank.

If you break any of the links listed below and the bus becomes active, there is a problem past where you broke the link.

TERM<->TBCM<->EBCM<->VCIM<->DLC<->BCM<->GPCM<->TCM<->ECM(INTERNAL TERM)

If I were to guess, I would focus on the connections to the Glow Plug module. You would have been all over it when you were working on the driver's side of the engine.

Lastly, there is a wake up signal that comes from the Key switch to the BCM that then passes it on to all the other modules. Possible problem, but since the engine runs, I think the ECM is awake already.

I know someone in here told you to check that:hug:

When I pulled the valve covers off pulled the glowplug module.. Never put it back on.. It caused the no start..

Fingers was the winner! :D

atleast shes up and ready to roll Adam. strange it acted the same as it did when it died on the side of the road

Define Disconnected. The big multi-pin connector or just the big positive lead.

Module had to be there or the chain would have been broken for sending data from the ECM to the dash.

You can take the module out, but you would have to jumper a couple wires in the connector.

Man, you lucked out for 20,000 miles. Wherever you had the plug sitting, it had enough contact to short the correct pins.

As a friend of mine once said: "I had rather be lucky than good"
