which one is the primary and which is the secondary?
i assume the primary is the one with the pedal, which is what it is spliced into
dark blue wire that pins out at location 5

It hits the rev limiter the whole way down the track , while doing that it's defueling. Doesn't make for a decent pull.

Trey, got your message, phone died...anyways, i have his old controller that was once in Kyles truck. Not the new style. He installed it for me. I tried calling him to relay the message but got no answer as well.

Have you checked that wire you tap into the APP wire to see if it is feeding voltage back into the pedal circuit? Maybe something you could fix with a simple diode?

Yea, it may be a bad board, who knows...he has had a few of them...I think he's got a dozen or so out there by now, so 2 exact similar issues out of that many seems to be interesting.

Yeah I wondered about that , haven't checked yet . Got some ideas on a good way to check it ?

I was thinking the same thing Josh about checking for voltage or signal the box could be putting out , also what type of connector are you using to tap into it ? I have seen the "t" tap style connectors cut though almost all of the strands of copper and scew voltage reading before .

Yeah hope so , I wonder why it freaks out more in 4 wheel drive and not so much in 2

I would start by unplugging the wire, turning the key on, and checking for voltage at the wire coming from the controller.

The way the boards operate, at least without asking ben first to confirm, is that they are supposed to sense resistence, and if the resistance is not exactly what is programmed into the box, then obviously it won't work properly...as he and I have learned, resistance is a finicky thing, and it is a function of voltage.

At first I just used the connector he had supplied with the wires ( already crimped on one side ) but then I wondered if it was just getting a bad connection so I pulled all that apart and then soldered the wire to the other , still same issues

In 4WD the TCM has a lot lower WOT threshold ( like 40-50% ) then it goes to the WOT patterns for a lot of stuff , may or may not even be related but could be .

Makes sense Trent , it will come and go while in 2 wheel drive but as soon as you put it in 4 , your not going anywhere . No pedal what so ever
