You can access the top 3 drivers side up pipe bolts from the passenger fenderwell. It should be easier with the other up pipe out of the way. The other 3 on the manifold should be easy as pie.

Yeah guys I removed the passenger side up pipe but the problem I am running into is when I try to place the socket on the drivers side top up pipe bolt closest to the glow plug module it does not want to fit all the way on the bolt when on the breaker bar. And I do not want to attempt to turn the bolt with the socket only halfway on it for fear of rounding the bolt.. I am using a 25 inch long breaker bar through the Passenger side fender Well and I have been soaking the bolts in liquid wrench for days. Thank you all for your help and elgavilan I wish I lived closer

To get the socket on mine I used the 1/2" ratchet with a 3/8" adapter and a 3/8" 12 point socket. Seemed to be about the right length to allow the socket to seat on the bolt head. You might try different setups or extensions to allow the reach. I did have to take the drivers side up pipe heat shield loose by removing the top screw and then prying it back with a large screw driver, it is thin metal and flexes easily, to get room for the socket to line up with the bolt. I got the screw driver shoved in between the heat shield and the up pipe and left it in place to keep the heat shield out of the way while I loosened the up pipe bolt.

i will definitely get the 3/8 12mm 12 point socket then and test that out. i'll keep you posted on any progress. and i removed the whole drivers side uppipe heat shield cause it was frustrating trying to fit the breaker bar back there the same time it was in there.

alright guys got the turbo out and now onto the y bridge lower front nuts. i got the nuts on the studs going from underneath the y bridge and getting them on however getting a socket on there or an open end wrench is an issue to get them snugged down all the way. what tools did you guys use to tighten down the lower front ones all the way????

Yeah man I got some swivels but the angle of the wehrli y bridge neck is not letting the ratchet fit properly even with the turbo out its a pain. I thought for sure it would be cake with it out

Or like was mentioned, get a old wrench the right size and heat and bend the sucker to your liking..

I had guys tell me to get an old wrench and cut it down to the length needed to fit and get the job done.
