Hey guys i recently purchased the wehrli y bridge and 3 inch cold side pipe for my 2005 lly. i am having trouble removing the passenger side rear lower nut. i need to get this one out in order to remove the bridge as i have already taken out the others. this one is being a pain as there is some sort of hard line that runs over that bolt. what is the best way to go about this???

Remove the turbo......

That hard line is for water. Goes to the turbo. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the turbo to the block, or at least loosen them. And you will probably also have to bend that line some. Removing the turbo isn't necessary, but it sure makes the bridge easier to remove and install.

thanks for the help IOWA LLY i will try that tomorrow. are the bolts hard to break loose on the uppipes to remove the turbo? i havent ever removed it. and should i worry about that water line breaking if i attempt to bend it? or is it pretty pliable and will bend easily?

Bend the water line just enough to be out of the way and you can get in there with some 1/4 drive extensions and a swivel.

This^

I use a long swivel extension and a small pry bar to tweak the coolant line out of the way.
What they said!!!
Also, unbolting and moving/removing the heat shield will gain you a little more room as well

thank you for all the advice guys! i will try this this weekend. i really want to see if i can get this thing in without pulling the turbo as i know that is a whole pain in itself again. i will attempt to bend the coolant line and see how that goes.

new question guys i managed to get the bridge loose to be pulled out however the fuel lines are in the way from me pulling it out. those hoses are frozen on the fuel lines. should i just cut them out? and what would be the best way of installing the new bridge?

I agree a hose removal tool will help, but that year of truck should probably just go ahead and replace whatever fuel lines you need to remove.

working on it right now thanks for all the help guys i am slowly but surely making progress. do i have to loosen the back 2 lower nuts ALL the way to let them drop into the valley of the engine. or will the bridge come out with them only halfway loosened? only reason i ask is because it seems like i have to but if i dont i wont. cause i dont want to risk them falling to a spot that i cant get to.

i got them all off now im trying to wiggle it out. its being a pain the coolant line for the turbo by the rear passenger lower side nut. that pipe is tough to bend back out of the way.

Do you have the nuts totally off the studs on the bottom? (I'm assuming it's the same as my lml)

Lml ybridgeis way different than his. The lml comes out the top like the older lb7s where the lly comes out the front and is a huge PIA to put back in especially if its been welded to prevent blow outs
