Curtis took Nasty today to 10.35 at 131.11mph which is a new common rail record for the crew cab, this was on the #3 setting of 5. Mark Huckstorf ran Nasty on #4 tune with a 60' time of .884 ..... HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!! The 330' time was 3.741 coasting through as the tranny let go. Doing the math if the tranny held would have been a 9.6-9.7 pass!!!

Slips and video will be posted by Mark later today.

dude uh how did you find those sites?

Guess I should have done my research better. The arey spam site I guess.

:D

What's the fastest true street Dodge?

12's perhaps?

I know Gene's Ford or Lott's Ford are true 11 second street trucks. When I see I a Dodge Street Truck, there is always ether or a tow truck involved.

Real racers here huh ?

A real racer would know that a .884 60' never happened with that truck.

What's your fastest 60' Pat ?

Oh yea...watching NHRA right now...Capps just turned a .95 60'

As I posted elsewhere...comgrats on the low 10's Keith...that's one hell of an accomplishment. I do think that thing has a 9 in it....best wishes on getting it there.

Not my job to call BS. ;)

Regardless, Dmaxes are the fastest true street trucks.

.884 60'

That would be a case of "smoking out the lights" It would be impossible to 60' that hard. Congrats on the 10.30's that is fast for sure! That is VERY Fast for a truck period. Jeff

So you're saying that you think the 60' time is correct ?

As to the second statement...it would appear so....but I drive a Ford and we all know they ain't in that race.

Gene (Stroked Lightning) whupped my arse a few times. It's not that it can't be done, it's mearly a level of difficultly that is involved.

Cummins guys have a HUGE advantage over us Dmax guys, but we still whup 'em pretty solid in the street classes.

Pat...don't beat around the bush like you usually do.

I'm not taking anything at all away from Keith or his bad ass truck....but you know as well as I do that it CAN NOT cut a .88 60'

Again...what's your best 60' ?

Yet another exaggeration by you.
How about you ask your members to leave the Steve Cole bashing over here....I get tired of seeing it every time he posts.

Malibu....that would be you I'm talking about.:hello:

I'm sure you can read it Pat. You can either use Kat's log-in or one of the multiple names you have. I'm sure they haven't all been caught yet. It's funny....the site gets bashed here to no end...but the people that have been banned and do the most complaining continue to register under new names....Pat included.

I don't get it.
here is my post.
steve.

please knock off the "I/it cant be done and i told you so". just because you couldnt figure it out doesnt mean someone else can with the allison stuff..
honestly its :bdh:

thanks for the info on the imput shaft and clutches.
TTS's post
I can tell you it's one of the reasons for sure. After several broken inputs and outputs and transmission failures it gets old, and expensive! The magic number seems to be around 11.00 1/4 mile times. Once you begin running under that the transmission failures get to be an every race deal. Call it a refresh/rebuild or whatever the hell you like they just do not hold up making pass after pass at 10.60 and quicker in a 6000 lb truck. Kieth's got it worse as he is up in the 6800 lb range with his truck. When they called last night they were going back to the track today to give it hell again. Good luck today
Well I just got word that it broke another input shaft, again, boy this is starting to sound familiar. They got several runs in and turned the NOS and tuning up best run of 10.35 @ 131 before it let go. Motor is running great still. Way to go Kieth, Curtis and Mark.
Just got another call and after talking with them and having them check things it looks like it's not an input shaft this time. Sounds like it took out some clutches this time. In any cases they are done for today and the transmission needs to come back out.
i get the "i have been there done that and it cant be done" attitude from mr cole

We don't have the same philosophy so you probably are unable to understand this site.

There is no need to stop anyone from reading a website, newspaper, magazine or watching a TV show.

So anyone can read this.

Weird? Dunno. Kinda like the racetrack. Anyone can participate or watch. Their choice, not ours.

You do not contribute any Dmax tech to this site, but you are allowed to post simply because you are a diesel lunatic. Nobody is banned from here who loves diesel hotrodding.

So while it might piss you off that I trash your pals, it's mearly because they are demonstrable AHoles. Publically. They aren't protected from their actions. They took the racer's trust and sold them out for a dollar, and for that they suck.

Good Lord, Pat...answer the damned question:

What is the best 60' you or your lovely wife have ever cut in Casper ?

There...a simple non-tech question in a non-tech forum.
Since your truck is very close to Keith's in performance...I'd like to compare the 60' times. Is that so hard ? Do you have to twist everything around to some problem you seem to have with my friends ?
I'm not mad at you....I don't think you're mad at me...so just answer the freakin question....please.

I cut a 1.7 against Smith and whupped his arse. 10.6 at 130+ IIRC.

I think my best is a 2.5 though. I'm getting senile.
