Check Kennedy site he had pics of other mounting points for his in the instructions IIRC.

Sent from a ditch being dug near you using Tapatalk

Thanks! I ended up mounting it behind the tank and its tucked up nice.

Local guy mounted his in the spare tire location. Looks/functions really nice!

 Think I'm going to put a spare back on it since its my DD... so where I mounted it seems fine.

I got my tapshifter harness from Ben, ends up I have a LMM tapshifter and have the wrong 4 way connector.

Have the tow/haul hooked up but not the tapshifter. I tapped a +12v for the pink wire he supplied but I need to figure out where my signal wire goes. From what I've found on my pinouts it seems to go to the TCM pin 56 "Driver Shift Request Signal". Does anyone know which multiple junction connector it goes through to get to the TCM? Unless I read it wrong and it goes to the ECM first.

Thanks

Damn, your truck is turning out great! Are you planning to show it or anything?

I'm also interested in lift pump location, I think I'll probably run into the same problem when the time comes.

Not show worthy lol... maybe the crew cab when I'm done with the new lift. Here's how I ended up mounting my pump.

Got my dash back tonight.

To save people a bunch of time for anyone that wants to try this... DO NOT USE Duraglass or fiberglass resin and mat to shave the channel around the dash piece. It will not adhere to the plastic and eventually you will get cracks.

Ended up having to grind out all that crap and used a slow curing epoxy to get it nice. I'm talking it takes 24 hours to tack up but its rock hard and adheres well to ABS. Worth it in the end. I honestly don't see how Soundman gets away with using the products he uses to modify his dashes. I'm guessing a lot of them crack and look like crap.

It was painted about 5 hours ago so I'm not even going to mess with it until Friday. My new iPad isn't supposed to show up until tomorrow or Friday anyways.

How the hell did you get your gauge cluster so white? Both on and off. I tried the acetone on a q-tip shit and I was super careful but it still bled through. I ordered another stock overlay but I'm trying to decided what to do with it. I want it pure white and the light blue with the white LEDs drives me nuts.

exactly. I just keep mine off

So I've noticed my truck doesn't seem to want to warm up lately like it did before. Also my mileage has gone to hell... I'm used to seeing the needle go to a hair under 210* then dropping down when the t-stat opens... I've noticed lately it never reads over 160-170*. SHoudl I assume its time to replace my high and low t-stats?

I was maybe thinking since the needles you have are blue you could use blue tint on the mileage display. I've been kinda thinking about stealing your idea and doing that.

That is exactly what happened to mine when my t-stats went out so its at least somewhere to start

Thanks for the reply. I know the needles aren't very accurate but I also know where they usually sit and it's been lower lately. My mileage went from ~20 mixed driving to 14.6 hand calculated. I thought it might be the built trans and turbo but it wasn't warming up like it should before that and I had a winter front on and even on 50* days it didn't want to get up there.

As for the needles, I say do it! They look amazing and I get compliments on them all the time if someone gets in the truck.

If you tried putting a film over it I doubt it would work very well as the display itself is a forest green too.

Sounds like thermostats mine was exactly like you described even with a winter front also.

As far as the film I'm gonna try it and see what happens.
