10 spd. with double reduction for alot of torque low side's like the 15 or is at some places once they like the starts in LL to L and out.

I really dont need the deep reduction. Ive driven a lot of 8LLs, 9LLs, and 15spds and thats not so much what I need, I know I listed a 15spd as a trans option though.

5+4 or 6+4 are the two that would be neat to have. Otherwise I want a 13spd(18spd would work too but dont need it). I do want 4th at the dash though. I want the U shift pattern, not an H pattern. Partly because I prefer it, partly because I like it, partly because its something different. I may even put a two stick kit in for a 13spd if I end up with one. I dont know what will go in there but the 9spd is definatley leaving.

With it being lowered and having low riding seats, are you going to chop the roof?

Maybe these will give you some ideas. Saw this one at a truck show a while back.

I would like to but dont want to invest the time and money. If i was very bored. had better body skills and a TIG maybe I would but I dont.

8v92 will probably end up on it, local shop has one rebuilt that they are willing to let go very cheap because they have been sitting on it for too long.

10 speed fuller!!!!!!!!!!

too boring.

My ideal transmission is a 6+4 Double overdrive. I could probably leave my truck unlocked everywhere because not to many people would be able to figure out the shifting pattern(s) except for some old timers.

That red W9L looks sharp, I like the shaved headlight look, also like the idea of the stainless piece between the fuel takes that hides the mess of wires and hoses under the cab.

Maybe im nuts but given the opportunity to hear a detroit, i've been known to drop what im doing and run outside to catch one goin by :D They have gotten scarce around here. Dosent matter if it ends up beeing a clapped out old Brigadier hauling scrap, that sound is worth the trouble ;)

Good ole Screamin Demons!

I'd love to get my hands on a nice old 6V53 for a future project in mind!

Sweet truck Vin I drove a 1974 w900 8v92 for 16 years hauling loads over 200,000 lbs they are some work horses. Most of the old ones went south. Something about a two stroke would give it more of a hot rod feel.

Nope sorry no progress, Just after the most recent pic i posted, i put it out back and its been there since. Been pretty busy around here, and with mom passing away, we have a lot to catch up on because she did most of the paperwork.

We did acquire another KW though, one that runs and is for the farm. A 1997 T800 with an N14 435hp 1650 tq, Jake, 15spd OD, VIT interior and a few other nice things. Buuuuuttt, its gonna be our feed truck:( o well. Its the first of many to come if I have anything to say about it. I love the truck, it walks all over our FLD120 Freight with a 470 Detroit and 13spd.

Sorry to hear of your loss. How long you been driving trucks for you seem to know your big rigs! Most of the trucks I have drove were 18 speeds and I had to tell a couple older guys you could split all your gears:rofl: But have drove some 8,9,10,13s etc. I love KWs I was in a new Pete for awhile but didn't like the huge turning radious it had and the reverse style pedal it had:mad: One truck I loved/hated was a 10wheeler kw dump truck with a 475cat tons of power but had no mufflers and was very very loud specailly when you hit the old jake brake! Have any pics of the new rig?

ive only been driving since I was 14 (20 now), but just love large cars.

18s and 15s are my favorite especially when they have the OD pattern, makes things more interesting and fun. But I do have to laugh at how they call a 15spd a 15 when theres only 12 progressive gears yet a 13 has 14. I wouldve called the 15 a 10LL but o well.

KWs are my favorite and I want to be buried in a W9. I hate the Pete clutch, and I dont like their interior as much, just looks cheap.

Dont have any pics yet. Ill get some up shortly.

Ha ha ya some of the transmissions make no sense when it comes to people naming them. Ya they are fun to mess with and drive but I gave it up after 2 years I get bored way to easy behind the wheel all day ha ha
