Did soft lines for the trans this weekend no pics yet cause it was cold.
Gotta do a diff seal this week and then chase a powersteering leak down as well.
Thanks for the advice however this is the front differential where the cv axle exits the diff.Find the differential seal package that has a sleeve for the yoke pinion with it, you may find the old yoke sleeve has a groove worn in it. Read about a member on one site that replaced two seals until he found this kit, I'll search for it today and post it if I find it.
The part number for a new yoke with the dampener is #12471499 on Nalley GMC for about $160.00 plus shipping, let us know if the rubber in the dampener is good shape considering the age of these trucks, well at least my 2006 where the rubber isolator in the driveshaft carrier bearing was shot at 37K when I purchased it a year and half ago. No seat of the pants vibration just the mirrors vibrating/shaking to the point of being hypnotic if you looked to long.
