Just got my morimoto headlights today. They were $120. Wanted a better option than my cheap $40 eBay bulbs. Decided to give these a try. Neat little box. Very well packaged and seemingly rugged bulbs

They came with adapters to make them 9006 bulbs. Honestly somewhat annoying because when you try to take the bulbs out of the headlight the adapter stays in.

Started to install and they were a bit big for my housings. Had to do some minor modification. Tho yours may be different as mine are eBay cheapies.

Put the bulbs in then installed the ballast. Neat design. Heavy duty too.

Adjusted the bulbs where they were perfectly adjacent to the ground.

Left bulb is morimoto. Right is eBay. Honestly. They look the same. Maybe even the eBay is brighter.

Heres a few side by side comparisons

To be honest. I'm slightly disappointed. These bulbs costs 3x more than the others and may not even be as bright. Sure they are 10x the quality. But I just can't decide if that justifies the cost difference. I may buy the opt7 bulbs to compare. And send back whichever are more dim. Not decided yet

Looking at them at night they may be a bit better. Not sure about brightness but beam angle seems to be a bit better. Haven't tested in the road tho.

The ballast life is where you win buying their stuff.
Still beats HID's!!

How bright do you want it? I get flipped off, high beamed and swerved at now for just stock junk siverstar ultras.

I been debating leds for mine but I already got one tire cut last days off

When I head somewhere in town at night I know for sure that I'm getting flipped off. 7" higher off the ground doesn't help either. I don't necessarily think it's funny butttttt some people go above and beyond to make sure I know that they hate my guts

I was going for a little brighter. I have smoked lenses so people usually don't bother me. But either way I wanna see where I'm going the best I can

I have HIDs in mine and i think i may have been flashed once in three years I've had them. I did aim them so it was centered in my lane and not blinding on coming drivers. May wont to look into re-aligning your lights

I did, then I can't see, it only bothers the people in low low cars like Cavi's and cobalts and such, so it's a lose lose situation. Guess I could point them way down and put some bright ass fog lights on with a switch like I used to run.

There's a difference with the led bulbs. Halogen and hid bulbs always have that hot spot where the light can be focused and aimed. The led has no hot spots and is an evenly distributed light. Guess next step may be clear housings. I just don't know how that'll look...

i have black out housing with clear lenses on my 02. im going to swap my HID bulbs for the LED bulbs i have in my tracker. they work very well.

only time i get flashed in either rig is on pitch black roads and the car has shitty head lights.

So I got the flux beam x. Nice bulb. Good seeming quality but the morimoto has it beat by a bit. Flux beam is almost as bright. But not quite. Gonna keep the morimoto. Here's a pic of them installed in a clear lense projector housing.

I've had hid kits before. Not morimoto but these led lights paired with a projector housing it's night and day honestly. My windshield is tinted and it is still brighter and easier to see. And I have yet to be flashed at. Even driving to the beach and back.

I see, ive got a set of LED in my high beams (not sure on brand) w/o a proj. housing and was kinda disapointed in the light output, I suppose a good set of bulbs and some projectors would make all the difference, my dad runs the morimoto kit in his LBZ and the light is great from it
