I thought that the SS housing is only used on the exhaust housing not the intake housing. Thought I read about how it helps spool up

here is a question guys, can i use a garrett compressor wheel and turbine wheel on the IHI shaft? thinking about maybe getting a new compressor housing and machining the turbine housing for a bigger wheels. not stock anymore though

Im pretty sure thats what a Cheetah is. As Josh is trying to get at...its not cost effective, thats why Brayden didnt pursue it for production, only on a "you want it, I'll build it" basis.

Yeah, 12.40 on the stocker. Also, Moss went 12.35, Spruill went 12.18 on slicks. Goal this year is to beat those times. Should get it close...its all in how everything works together

I like your ideas, DS. I get a lot of "Why are you doing this anyway?" from people, too. I just like doing things others have given up on. Stubbornness, I guess. Pushing the OEM setup even farther and the ultra-high HP builds are the only real interesting things left...

true true. well maybe jsut port and polish then. no compressor wheel or turbine wheel upgrades. i cant believe turbo companies dont polish the insides of the compressor housings anyway. they clean up the outsides, why not the insides. casting are so rough on the inside.

Like I said in an earlier post "Extrude Hone" They can polish the compressor housing. I have thought about it, but its alot of work to get the turbo out. Maybe find another turbo and send it to them then swap so you are not out of comission too long.

Talking about a Fleech cheeter turbo that costs $3000.00+ and isn't even cost effective to build, in a thread where someone is trying to mod a stock turbo themselves for free is plain retarded.

Pimp that crap someplace else :screwy:

I wasn't "pimping" anything...I have never met any of the fleece gang and have never ran any of there products. Just trying to give some advise...This is why I stay away from forums so often....Because of assholes like YOU...Sorry for the off topic bull. Eric.

Lol, id have to agree with you here Eric, you have a s400 turbo, and not one thing in your sig says fleece performance, common sence would tell me you werent pimping anything. Josh, no need to jump down Eccs throat cause you dont like brayden, we know this.

Are you talking about an air intake??? or a compressor housing? I think you mean compressor housing.

A bolt in wheel (no machining) would be nice if such part existed. Seems most turbos have stepped blades, the IHI doesnt, wonder why, advantage or disadvantage? I put a wicked wheel in my old ford, it was nice. More turbo whine would be sweet too:D

That turbo, and intake horn will be on the way to your place on monday. Sorry i didnt get them out sooner, got a little busy, then the UPS store decided to cut back hours I guess and close early saturdays.

Ill be interested to see how it works out for you, Im sure you can get some gains.

It would be cool if you could find a blade that would fit perfect with more agressive fins, something like the ETT wheels. I believe the stockers are the way they are for noise reasons.

I am simply saying, telling someone about a turbo that is made to order and costs over 3000 dollars was kinda foolish when the original poster was asking about mods he could do himself for a cheap if not free price tag. If you wanted to be real helpful you would have offered up a BW or Garrett turbo, that would have been better advice as they are proven unlike the lb7 cheeter turbo.

And Rob, this has nothing to do with who likes who. I was puzzled as to why someone would tell someone else to run something they have never ran and the manufactorer(brayden) said themselves it was not cost effective to build and that there are many more options out there that perform better for less money.

I don't understand why people try to discredit things I say because of who I like or who I don't like. I stated facts, not opinions. One cannot argue with facts, however they can choose to ignore them which seems to be the case here. Now call me an ass or whatever you like, but I posted truths and if that warrants name calling, then so be it I am content. ;)
