thebac has ran a 12.40 with no drugs stock turbo .

howd he manage that. really light pickup? if i hit 12.7 with my stockers id be happy as hell. imm going to try and get rid as mich extra weight as possilbe but nothing special. i may add water/meth to help but beside that im pretty much nothing overly special. switching to a lbz CP3 with modded LB7 regulator as well.

only weight reduction was spare hitch tailgate and not sure if he pulled the rear seat but its a crew cab short bed . you would have to ask him specifics but i think his mods are trans, lift pump, exhaust , intake ? , efi but getting ready to do some more .
also depends on were your running , at my altitude i dont think you could push a stock turbo truck that far .

well maybe ill hit 12.5, that would be insane. i have a ext cab long box so a little lighter to start them the crew short box. i think i can shed a few hundred pound taking some stuff off. ill send him a pm and as. also minnesota and north dakota elev is lower then utah so ya that does help.

Fleece performance makes some pretty killer cheeta lb7 chargers. I think one of them has a 71mm compressor wheel

Talking about a Fleech cheeter turbo that costs $3000.00+ and isn't even cost effective to build, in a thread where someone is trying to mod a stock turbo themselves for free is plain retarded.

Pimp that crap someplace else :screwy:

i dont know, but i dont think ecc 33 meant anything by it, just throwin it out there

i would get a base line run at the strip so you can really see what your hard work is worth . there really is no base line on these trucks some trucks just plane run faster with the same mods .

that was the plan, ill have 2 turbos now so its easier to do that. wish they were easier to swap. after the first swap though its easier, bolts arent so sucks.

You need to get to some good altitude to run at. I'd like to see how fast you'd go with better air.

question guys, is there and reason a guy couldnt port out at an angle the outlet of the turbine some after the turbine? thinking an drop egt's a little. still coming up with how im going to port and polish the whole compressor housing. i think just smoothing all the casting out will make it flow night and day better.

I don't know what he meant, as I cannot read minds over the internet(only in person) but I do know what he posted and it was a cheap attempt to pimp a product that was deemed crap as far as $ per hp goes. ;) Atleast he could have done was pimp a product that is actually ready to ship and more cost effective like a garrett/bosch product

Now your talking about machine work, machine work that not just every machine shop can do. Money is key...with money you can do anything you want. Before you get carried away, might as well just look at aftermarket kits.

true true. well maybe jsut port and polish then. no compressor wheel or turbine wheel upgrades. i cant believe turbo companies dont polish the insides of the compressor housings anyway. they clean up the outsides, why not the insides. casting are so rough on the inside.

i think i remember reading about a guy that can do that josh . seriously though i think polishing the inside of the housing will get you pretty good gains.

by the way brayden did not stop making lb7 turbo parts he still makes them upon request

ive talked to him twice and he said he just stopped because it was not worth the investment. ya i think just polishing here up will be night an day. you think about how much air goes through that small area in so little time. having is smooth compaied to rough will make it flow alot better.

You read about a guy that can do the machine work, that is great. I didn't say no one could do it, just that every machine shop may not be able to do it. Comprehension skills need alittle work eh ;)

And yes Brayden can supply someone with a stock appearing upgraded turbo, I know this. But if your comprehension skills were up to par you would have caught the point I made about being "ready to ship".

I enjoy your posts, they make me laugh Mr. Beech :D

the part about him still making them wasnt directed at you josh. it was for a earlier poster. for the original poster you are correct that is why some turbos have ss housings

i am hoping to get that in az next weekend though my mods will not even be close to the same but it should give me a reference when i run up here next in april . dont know the elevation in pheonix but its got to be lower .
