I can't remember Adam. I'll have to go out to the shop and measure it. I forgot the dim. It's around 3.150 dia. To many other things going on. I'm going to make a new intake mount as well that will replace this altogether and a larger intake can be hooked up for hopefully even better gains.

i dont think i was clear... witht he words i typed...

what is the compressor wheel DIA and the opening on the imediat cover

I have a few laying around I can drum up for you.

As far as "testing" and "proof" it pretty much should go unsaid that this will help just by looking at it.

I am impressed, this is the first I have seen anyone doing this on a old school lb7 engine(Not saying it has never been done, just I haven't seen it)

Nice work :)

I will post when I have a few available for exchange These will be more affordable than most think (less than tie rod sleeves).

Good to be back Ed. If you would like to sell the horn, let me know. Or maybe some one posting here wants it if it's already matched up.

PM sent Adam.

Glad you like it Josh. Let me know on how we can do business on this.

Glad to see you back at Michael. You're one of the first vendors I ever dealt with when I got my dmax in 04. Glad to see you back in the game.:beer

I know I'm new here and all, just thought I'd pitch in... I was looking at this myself and why not A) machine a simple inlet snout or B) a snout / bellmouth like an HKS T04Z with or without the anti-reversion holes... just a thought.

Could you put the bolt patern on the inside? something like this:

we can't see it in this pic but some of those counterbored holes house the mounting screws, while the others are there for anti-reversion... please keep in mind that I haven't taken anything appart and I don't know what kind of room is in there... just thinking out loud.

i have a intake horn of my IHI sitting here if your interested. PM me and offer. Are you thinking of modding any lb7/lly y bridges? i dont know of anyone thats making them readily available and thats a pretty big restriction on these motors....

I'll look into the bridges. I know there a problem (restriction) area. The demand has to good enough to make it worth it though. I know Jeff Toman was making some (Toman Industies). I would have to talk to him before undertaking this (he may still be supplying them). I don't step on toes or copy others stuff (not that I'm aware of). Had that happen enough in the past that's still going on today. I was raised with those values. Sorry for the rant. Back on subject. The crossover bridge would be a good item to have available.

id definitly be interested in one if you made them and they didnt cost a left nut :D I know switching to the LBZ y bridge is supposed to be better but not that much and to me not worth it. id try and make one but im not a very good welder...expecially with aluminum...
