I work at Haisley Machine. I get that sort of stuff at cost. I was just wondering what was everyone's thoughts on them. Both the ARP and A1 standard studs. I dont have the look to spring for A1 H11's or the ARP 625's

Thats good. I know A1 are good studs, we use them in the Cummins engines we build in the shop I work at. I just didnt know what people in the duramax world thought of them.

Still undecided on injectors. I wnt enough injector that i could put compounds on at a later date if i wanted.

60-100 overs depending on what HP you want. smaller is better for DD, but I wish I had at least 100 overs in my DD. Seems like if you go with a good set 100 overs still DD ok

Well i decided to port and polish the heads.. Figured why not. And im also going with 100% exergy's. ive pretty much got everything i need to start on it.. Just waiting for the rods to come back from crower. Id also tossed the idea of coating the tops of the pistons but just not sure

If your using the stock injector hold downs and buy the socal injector stud kit, don't torque them down to socal spec of 65ft lbs, I called socal and they said stock torque will be fine, but im doing mine at 40 ft lbs. (spec is 38)

The rocker hold down studs are also 55 ft lbs, they don't say on the instructions.

I was planning on getting them for reassembly. Thanks for that torque spec! Im also going with dual stock pumps. Ive got the pumps. Just need to pick up the kit to intall them. That will come once engine is in the truck.

Ill be using my stock LBZ cp3 until I decide it's time to put on dual's. Gunna see how far a stock pump will push the truck.

Nice. I think I am also going to go with compounds. i have an s471 and im am either going to pick up a 68mm wheel and cover for that and then get an s483 or get an 83 wheel and cover for the s471 and pick up a complete s366. i cant decide if i should go with a small frame high pressure or a large frame high pressure.

Depends on how hard you are going to push it, if you think you will every spray it go with the 400 frame. If you are going to stick with the 100 over sticks you won't over spool a properly setup 483/366 imho

You don't need injectors that big. I'd go no larger than about 60%.
