Here’s the link to the event: https://summitmidwestdrags.com/

I’ve registered for street diesel but also fit super street 315, I’ve already asked if I can run multiple classes, which they’ve said I can. Once I get the details I’ll decide which route to go. At the very least I’ll stick with Street Diesel.

Right on!! This is going to be a great trip, been wanting to do one of these for the last 10 years (or so) since drag week came out. There always seems to be something in the way and probably couldn't get in anyways since its so popular.

What's keeping White Lightning out of Street Diesel?

I'm finally going to bite the bullet and back half it and do a 25.3 cage in it so it won't fit the street diesel rules. I'm tired of the retardedly high mph and slow et's so I'm fixing the problem and my kids want me to be safe so I'm doing the 7.5 cage in it. Would like to try and hit an 8 sec pass this year with it hopefully but shouldn't have an issue finally getting my 9 sec pass with the suspension work and I will try to drop a few pounds from it too. My oldest son is riding shotgun for this Midwest Drags event so should be a great time.

Well, change of plans somewhat lol. After looking at the cost of the work I was planning to do to the truck we decided instead to buy Mike Graves ProStreet/stock truck. I just couldn't bring myself to cut this truck up that I have had for 10 years now. I am still going to run this event with White Lightning just won't be crazy power or anything. Will have a good time with my family and getting to meet a bunch of people I haven't met yet.

Technically no because I have a coil over conversion on the front and I'm still thinking about 4-linking it myself so it won't fit the rules regardless. I'm not going to win, my boy is really into the drag racing scene gas and diesel and this will be a blast to be a part of.

As Evan said, its the 2wd truck that Joe had then Mike bought and has an Allison in it. Evan and I are planning to make a big splash with it this year. It will be in our UCC booth this year also. I am very excited to make this move and see what happens with it!

Well the countdown continues, we're 3 weeks away from this event. I hope there is a big turn out in the diesel classes. We've been beating on the Chevelle all year in preparation for this race. Hoping on doing well and hoping for some good competition.

We hit the RD Saturday morning. First stop was Vegas then we headed east from there. We’re 2200 miles into our trip and are in St Louis right now. Going to be finishing the last little bit of our trip this morning and check in starts at noon. Over all car has been doing great, hit some bad weather in New Mexico but we got thru it. I’ll post some pics here shortly.

Racing starts tomorrow, hopefully some you local people come out to race!!!
