Nick gets a lot of his info from me, Pat, and other people that have been there in the begining. Nick has the world of repect for Rob as I am the one who asked Rob to help him. Nick did not do the testing in a timely manor as he should have and it pissed Rob of and irritated me as well. Nick knows it.
As far as the post with the picture of the nitros that Pat posted a while ago. That info came from me. I know you are one of the people that worships the ground Steve walks on even when your TTS shit didn't work. Steve ran nitros back when he and Michael Tomac were the fastest Duramaxes in the country. I never said anything because I was his friend. The truck belonged to Joe at PPE and was co-tuned by Steve ( actually Larry ) and Joe. Transgo bought the Duramax from Joe at PPE. Steve was allways a little faster than Tomac, but Tomac had a CCSB 4X4 and Joe's truck was a regular cab 4X2. Weight was 5600 lb. Tomac was 7100. I worked on the Transgo truck and was offered this truck first when they wanted to sell it. Steve came unglued when they did not offer it to him. Steve pulled the nitros off as it belonged to Dennis Perry at TS.
So you see Josh, there was a reason to post that picture and it had nothing to do with putting Rob down. Nobody in their right mind would even think of trying to dis Rob as he is one of the nicest guys and helps everybody.
Josh if you don't believe any of this call my buddy George ( BIG DIPPER ) and ask him how he got f---ed by Steve. Aske him what he did for Steve as a favor to me.

First of all, if you think I worship the ground Steve walks on, then you are the one who doesn't know shit! There are a handful of people in the diesel performance industry I respect and value their opinion and input above all others, and Steve is most definitely not one of them. I have bought two products from Steve. One of those was the transmission kit that has been reworked several times. The other being the lift pumps which still work after 3 years and 40k+ miles.
Second, my post had NOTHING to do with Steve or TTS whatsoever. My post was directed at Nick and only referred to him and his attitude. It didn't even have anything to do with you or your history lesson. Your response to it has no meaning to me at all. You say he got info from you, Pat, and other people. Like I said in my post, his opinions are formed on what he has read and heard, not real world personal experience. Go back and read the first post I quoted then tell me he isn't either saying Rob is a liar or doesn't know what he is talking about.
Regarding the speaking for Rob thing, I guess I should have said explicitly, I am not speaking for Rob. I thought I made it clear that I wasn't, but apparently reading comprehension skills are lacking for some. What I posted are my thoughts and do not reflect the opinion of others.
As far as my attitude, I do my best to help people when I can by answering questions and giving my opinion when people are looking for input. I'm sure I have posted things when in a bad mood or someone has said something that got under my skin, but I would say those types of posts are few and far between. If you disagree, oh well. You make no apologies for your attitude posts, so I guess I won't either.
Mike you have a way with words, all I could do was sum it up. You put all in perspective. :thumb:

Wasn't looking for an apology and my comprehension skills are fine. Just stating that you took Nicks post and picture the wrong way. As far as your posts and attitude; I enjoy them. You do help a lot of people and there is no one that has used the roll eyes more than you. Sort of your signature.

I wachted the Canadian finals for pole Dancing last night and it was fkn awsome!

I agree Josh did nothing wrong. Something as simple as a friendly post gets blown out of proportion. A bigger reminder is reading the same people preaching for a better place when they too have been involved in some really huge bashes. No rant.
I just reread this entire thread. Yes I know, I need a life. It always amazes me how much controversy Steve Cole stirs up. I met Steve, Mike L, Nick D'm, Dmax Doug, Opie and Bill Fletcher at the same time, the 2005 Redding NHRDA race and pull. Never thought at the time I was standing amongst some of the legions of the Duramax world. Fletcher obviously a hold out with the dinosaur 12 valve. We all ended up that night at the same Mexican restaurant and I bought everyone's dinner. Never did see Mike L and Steve exchange pleasantries or even make eye contact now that I think about it. My impression talking to Steve was that of a college professor a bit too into himself quizzing me on material that I hadn't studied very hard. Made a mental note to study up better the next time. Steve has always been fair to me, he along with Buck and Jess have helped up a lot with the race truck, especially trying to figure out the Duriflite.
As I said most all of these diesel/tranny gurus are high maintenance. Huge egos and need to be stroked. Being a dumb ass I'm no threat to them so they all put up with me.:thumb:

I played golf on Tuesday, at least I think that is what they called it. Greens keeper came over and personally thanked me for never hitting one green from any where outside of 20 feet there by causing no ball marks. The tee keeper was pissed because it looked like I rotor tilled most of them. And the ducks in the ponds did just that, a lot of DUCKING. I had a 12 on the first hole then things started going down hill.
