Like it looks, the customer makes me more headache and hes tuner. I got called a lire from my customer. He blamed me to going to Germany because you had engine issues and I had to attend a trade show? If I was your tuner, I would sit in a airplane and I would sit on your front door in 36 hours, that the service I provide. I can't tune, service or anything without to be there, thats my policy. As I get a call in the midnight on a weekend and he blamed me for that, do you that for your customer? I gave him all what I had, all my tools and knowledge and he couldn't get it right?

I missed this one. Wow, who is the customer? I know I never called you a liar, I couldn't get you to answer the phone. I even asked Curtis if you were alright. Seemed like a voice of concern

Are you back after 9 months?

By the way, I've never had to ask the current nozzle provider for his tune or direction. We didn't have problems. But, if I did, he would give the info and answer the phone to boot.

I'd be glad to visit Mick, I should have used the excuse of needing to visit to tune properly. But, I was sweeping floors at the local bar and couldn't pass up the quarter I would have found had I missed work the few weeks. Heck, we just picked up the phone and ordered from a reputable nozzle provider.

Empty your pm box so you can say I have big balls again. That is the most attention I've had in a while.

Volker - Im not big into the argument thing - just facts. I know you have alot of experience with injectors amongst other things. The injectors you supplied me may have been a one off failure and Im over it and have replaced them with some good ones, until the engine started knocking and the project stopped (whether or not your injectors were the root cause of that knocking is yet to be determined) I would really like to know how many trucks you have out there with your injectors in and what sort of results you are getting? good ones I hope. But I like alot of others want to know who's parts are working and whose arent i.e. there are a few trans builders out there but Mike Ls ones really seem to be holding up and that has an influence on people like me .......

Id like to see a Poll Thread started to give an idea of how many and of what type of injectors are out there. II, MDE. Fleece, SoCal, etc . Anybody up for it or know how to do it? Maybe it could have a facility for a Positive or Negative response beside it. People need to know whats going on with different products right or wrong surely?

we have a few decent threads on injectors but they always seem to become loaded  , we will see if we can do it and just have a poll or only allow post about experience and a simple comment no discusion or reply's , maybe even have it be a sticky ?

Whew...Coming from a girl who just found a song that her deceased mom wrote about her when she was a baby...you all need to chill out!!! We acknowledge that something was awry with that particular project, but that is definitely not the MDE way!! With these projects, it seems to me that there must be some effort on both sides for the positive end result. Volker is the most honest, trustworthy person out there. It doesn't matter where he is from, it's his ethics; you respect him, he respects you. Some of you going off about him pulling a fast one on you might not know a) what Volker is about; and b) how to work with your engine for optimum results. Those of you who know Volker personally know what I mean! We apologize for this getting out of hand tonight. I'm sure I'm in big trouble here...but...put it to bed!!!

Welcome to DuramaxDiesels.

We are trying to defuse this pissing contest.

You will find certain topics yield heated opinions in the performance community:

* Corvette: Which air intake is best?
* Dodge Diesels: What can I do to make more smoke?
* Ricers: Is a 8" or 10" exhaust tip better?
* Dmax'rs: What injectors are best?

So we need to babysit such threads. This is one such case.

Is a nozzle built for a specific purpose or can the same nozzle be installed in any engine configuration? Talking about the duramax injector in a duramax engine, all 6.6l.

I ask because:

I was asked by our injector nozzle builder what my max pw would be with my selected nozzle size. When I answered, he said hey, with that pw, we may be able to do xxxx or xxxxx, but we don't want to go over xxxx. Now, I am the tuner so, my job is to make all the parts come together with the calibration and recognize a problem and act. So, one very big battle over, knowing what to expect.

Now, the tools I will use to verify and conduct a thorough explanation of the build:

I first have to know and understand what is in the engine and the engine builders ideas, methods and foremost his components planned reactions to his expectations. With all projects, fix the problems as they are recognized. Then move on.

We have a chassis dyno.
We have a cylinder pressure monitor.
We have a dual channel afr meter.
We have turbine and compressor speed sensors.
We have all compressor maps on our chargers and work with suppliers on cfm and compounded cfm potential and actual cfm.
More tools are available and we use them as required.

All of which are in house and at our disposal.

We will work side by side with engine builder and injector builder.
We have EFI Live
Multiple EGT sensors and limiters.

Now, all these were used in our stock engine playing/learning and in the first engine with both sets of injectors plus the stock injectors. The new injectors will be tested like the last, after the engine has been broke in or run at least 500 to 1000 miles.
