Im an Olds purist, you just dont do that to certain cars. If he was building a clone, then sure, go ahead. Me and another coworker (who owns a 1971 Cutlass) both told the driver to tell this guy, for us, that hes a complete idiot. Heck, all he has to do is sleeve the block and rebuild. Just replace the carb (obviously save it) with a Holley Sniper EFI kit if he really wants better driveability.

That LS6 out of that Chevelle would be worth big money. I knew a guy in HS who owned one.

Speaking of Grand Nationals, I snapped a photo of this local one owner the other day.

Also know a guy who raised the value on those a bit back in the early days. He personally sent two to crushers the summer of 87. Hopefully someone spared the tags..

I shouldve bought a GNX back in '87. I'd love to find a 1966 Cutlass or 442. Owned a '67 Cutlass for a few years, just liked the look of the '66 better.

1970-72 Monte's FTW. Customer on the route just bought a 1972 to rebuild. Another has a 1970 BB car with manual transmission --- very rare.

Saw a gorgeous 1966 GTO in another customer's garage a few weeks ago. His brother has a 1958 Buick Special, 1974 Camaro and 1969 Ford F250 highboy 4x4 -- all excellent restores.

Finally got to see a 1967 Firebird convertible that Ive been delivering parts for for the past few years. Woo boy, thats a sharp ride. His goal is to have the car done by the Westphalia car show next month.

This job is a gold mine for a car nut. Its amazing what some people have stored away in their garages.

It’s hard to beat the 60’s, early 70’s styling. So many cars and trucks I love about that era.
