This sucks, paying attention to the wrong traffic light, it was green the one I ran was red🤦🏻‍♂️
Old man driving bitch me out that I requested EMS, then bitched to the EMS for 30 minutes then left . Is he hurt? IDK no air bag deployment in either vehicle.

Busted the radiator in mine, immediate area around DS tow hook is bent. Drove it up on the trailer fine.

Definitely have the capacity to do it... See what insurance says in the coming weeks.. they'll probably total it, I have full coverage and lien on it, the main thing was to build credit history with it .. it's not my only vehicle to drive..
I guess that depends on its current value and the cost of parts... a cooling stack probably wouldn't be cheap through the insurance at auto dismantler prices.

What they would have to pay for some parts might total it. Definitely doesn't look too bad for some one with the ability to do it them selfs.

Sorry to hear, that sucks. It really looks fixable, but there is no telling what value insurance will put on the parts and the truck.

Engine wise, I have the spare parts sitting here to fix that... I don't had the body parts, hood, fenders, grille, rad core support etc..

With nothing really to go off of.. frame horns are bent at least forward of the A-arms.. center link for into one of the ribs on the front diff.
Front wheels still spin straight so that's a plus.

IDK what the lien holder's position on a salvage title is... If it goes that route... Salvage titles don't bother me.. regardless only way I'll get my monies out of it is to use it.

Gues I'll find out a lot more come Monday...

I don't know about your area, but I am sure you could shop around Craigslist, offer up, Facebook and find some good used stuff.

As for the lein holder, they will want to get paid out on it if it's totalled. But it should be cheap to buy back from insurance. Like around $1500 or so.

Once a vehicle is totaled its hard to get a loan on it. Usually have to get a personal loan. Not many places will take it on a trade or give any value for a salvage title vehicle. Insurance will only pay upto 75% of a vehicles value if it holds a salvage title.

Pretty much how I figured,
Generally a vehicle is scrap once I'm done with it ..
I've had two vehicles totaled out, one required me to salvage stamp the title the other didn't, neither has loans against them.
Dayton Columbus area of Ohio..
I've got Hicksville auto in NW Ohio which is all dmax trucks . Plus LMC truck as well

I've vaguely looked for parts, ECSB/ECLB 4*4 frames run ~$1000-1200 bare through car-part..
Did look at auto trader under these specs .. problem... First payment was 3/1.. ain't helping credit history much lol. And I haven't got similar cash for down payment built up.
Unfortunately 99% lenders aren't used to people that actually can fix their stuff

Truck Market Update

Nov 2019 I purchased an 2013 F350 King Ranch Dually with 240k on it at dealer cost straight from Tampa auction, and sold it today wholesale, with an extra 80k on the odometer, for the exact same price..

Growing up around the car biz, ya learn the market, and how to spot good values. But have to say, I totally missed this one. Didn't want another dually, and at time of purchase, seemed not many other did either. Besides typical cost of fuel, tires, and maintenance, plus a little bank interest, this truck cost me ZERO for 3 years of daily use. Going up on the wall as my best bang for the buck truck.

So there is your truck market update. If you bought it priced right 3yrs back, still in decent shape, probably worth about the same today..

Quick version of a long story with to many details to vent about.

Took my son to the ER to try and get him some inpatient treatment for mental distress. After sitting there for 5hrs and running test we knew wouldn't show anything. We got told the fastest way to get him treatment was for us to sit in the ER for days maybe weeks and wait for an empty bed at the Psych hospital. I lost my patience told them to get the F*** away from us we where leaving. Our son is so Low Functioning (Autism) just about nowhere will take him. Just sucks to see him continue to slide down hill no matter what we do.

A guy I fallow on FB just got put in the ER by his big brother. He knocked him out a 2nd story window during a meltdown. I just want to not have to worry about that in the future.

At 9 years old you wouldn't believe how strong my 50lb son is. He doesn't hold back. He has no fear of hurting us or himself. He has put his head through walls and windows. He made my wife see stars when he hit her Friday.

Luckily yesterday and today have been better. Only 1 new small hole in a wall from a chair.

In final of my rant. If your in the medical field and can't help someone lead with that. Don't wast their time and money.

Dang, sorry to hear that. Are there specialist you can go to in your area that work with Autism?
Yes, we have seen a few of them. The problem is they are normally Specialist in their own field. So its hard to get some that can look at the big picture and treat it. Some genetic testing has shown that he doesn't respond well to the types of medication that are usually used to treat autism. Which is what we have experienced. Also a lot of the medications/treatments are not always medically recognized as helpful or things insurance don't cover. We had to stop seeing his last psych doctor because they wanted to prescribe medications that were gonna be costing us $400 a month. Just on the things that insurance will actually cover we have easly hit the out of pock max on our insurance for the last 6 years on him. Which is kind of nice because you know it's gonna happen so you just do everything that will be covered.
Time is a problem too. Specialists are usually booked months out. Often we get lucky and they'll see us a little sooner just because of the urgency of the situation, but they still want us to "try" something for a few months. The extra crappy part is we normally find something that helps for a few weeks maybe months. Then he starts slip back away from us. That gives you and the doctors' hope so then you start trying this variation or that variation. Normally it doesn't work again though.

Enough rambling on. The good news is my wife adjust his medication some and he had a better day yesterday. He actually played hide and seek with my help with his sister. I think that's the first time he's not had us holding him down to keep him calm and from hurting himself in a week. Today she is going to call every Psych in the phone book and see who thinks they can treat him.

Well I had what I think is a freak occurrence. I took the wife, a kid and my parents to Texas to see some family/friends. On the way home it was quite windy. I had a ratchet strap in the bed of the truck. I noticed the tail of the strap flapping around and thought I should tidy it up when we stop. Cruising along and all of a sudden BANG and what sounds like a howling wind thru a hole. I thought something came flying off a semi because it seemed like it happened in front of us. I thought for sure I had a hole in the cap of my 5th wheel. We get out and check everything out and don’t see anything. I noticed the strap was gone. Ok it flew out, cool. Turns out what I saw was in the rear view mirror. We take off again and the howl is still there. WTF?!? Get out and look under the truck. Some of the strap was wrapped around the driveline. The strap got sucked between the cab and bed and tied up with the driveline. Holy shit 😮. To say we got lucky and not much damage, which could have been way worse. Here’s some pics. Later on while getting gas I looked under the truck again and actually found the handle to the ratchet. It was inside the frame resting on the air compressor. I can’t believe the rear glass didn’t blow out.

How safe is that drive shaft with the dent in it? I know it's minor so probably not an issue but I always believed that any dent would lower it's RPM and torque rating

It’s got a couple dents in it. I’m going to get it checked out. I didn’t feel any odd vibrations as we were driving. But it was in my mind the whole rest of the trip.
