What are my options to improve the handling on my 04 ccsb duramax? It leans like crazy on turns that my buddies cummins and powerstrokes go around like they're on rails. Has anyone installed a aftermarket rear sway bar or anything else? I have brand new bilstiens all the way around and the torsion bars are cranked up some. I'm not looking for sports car handling, just a decent improvement.

P.S. I will not lower it.

I have a rear sway bar that used to be on my truck. It made a huge difference it body roll.

Hellwig and Fredericks both make one. I have the Hellwig front and rear, noticed alot from the rear, not so much on the front.

I did all new rubber for energy suspension too.

lower it back to stock and it will corner much better. has to do with working angles of the UCA and LCA when corning. sway bars will help but will make your ride a bit stiffer as well.

I think I'm gonna order a rear sway bar, Thanks guys! Btw I'm not sure what's up with the funky wording of the title, maybe typing while driving had something to do with it. LOL

So its not true that putting one on the back without upgrading the front will upset the vehicle making it more prone to spin out as per hellwigs website?
Mine never spun out or even came close. I'm not going to say what they put on their website is false, but as long as a crew cab truck is, I think you would have to be doing something pretty dumb to spin out in it.

Define the word dumb??? Cause they drift and spin out easy with twins. Lol hard to believe that a rear sway bar would to that tho.
What I'm saying is, unless you are a total jackass, they are hard to spin out on accident. I have had twins and all that too (ran an 11.13 in a full weight truck with the tune that I daily drove). I know how they can get out of shape when you're driving them hard, but if you even half way know how to drive, they're pretty easy to keep from swapping ends.

20's help some too. Had 20x10's with 285/55 dune grapplers with stock height suspension and it handled about the same as my truck now with it lowered 3/6 and 265/70r17's.
