I cut the lower coolant return hose from the heater core (?) and then put a T in so it could be drained in the future. It was the smaller hose and I cut it before it joins up with the lower rad hose.

The '01's came with a drain-luckily for Simon!!:D

Alright guys got my gasket in last night. But I was debating on whether to run tap water or get some distilled water. One of my friends says put tap water the other says distilled and I just want to get some clarification or what yall think.

P.S. When tightening bolts into that POS aluminum don't get carried away. I got the bottom bolt tight, then the top and went back to check the bottom and I think it stripped out on me. But I got it back tight again and I'm going to put some water in it and see what it does.

I suggest you buy either 50/50 premixed antifreeze or de-ionized water.

do distilled. never tap water. only distilled if you are going to mix your own coolant. or just buy the 50/50. straight and mixing yourself is cheaper.... i think, i get cost + 10% so couldnt say for sure off the top of my head
