I can scale it by RPM or boost..

I don't want to get into a bunch of custom calibrations here but what would you rather be the variable? Speed or boost?

speed would be the best one size fits all , boost would vary alot

edit: 28-29 mph for my truck is the very bottom of secound gear .

I may just release the AllyLocker software so you can just calibrate it yourself. :eek:

Just plug in your laptop to the USB port on the board and change it yourself..

Possibly have a button to allow you to lock referencing boost or speed, and calibrate the setpoints to your setup.

I'm just throwing out options here for feedback. They're at a fixed point now and honestly work pretty well with the current calibrations.

But I know how you guys like to tweak :coolspot:

I thought the converter already locked up in 2nd gear when the trans is in Tow/Haul?

Sorry, Im not understanding what this box can do....can it be of help for me in the future?

Sorry, Im not understanding what this box can do....can it be of help for me in the future?

not on certain trucks or certain converters , mine doesnt lock till bottom of third ( 52 mph ) guys like Jody arent locking till 4th gear sometimes . were have you been Tom we have had some good threads about it :D

That's how it works in theory. Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way in all trucks.

Actually it is supposed to lock up in second at WOT even if it isn't in Tow/Haul.

can this box allow the convertor to also be unlocked when I want it unlocked?!?! :D


This would be the cat's meow if it can allow a guy to lock when he wanted and then unlock on command near the end of a sled pull!! :coolspot:

If it helps I do not have this problem with my ATS 5 star. I am not however praising the 5 star as I think it is a tad harsh but it works, so take it for what it is worth.

It only becomes a problem on the higher stall converters that suncoast builds. If you have enough power it can push the TCC slip speed higher than the TCM wants to see and then you're SOL until you let off the pedal. The tighter converters won't allow the slip speed to get high enough to exhibit the problem... at least that's what i've seen. But the stall is a necessity so this should be the solution to the lockup.

My 1056 has some of the same issues. It is not consistant with lock up. The problem lies in the slippage not the convertor itself. It is a computer/tuning issue that can't be tuned out of it yet. If you make enough power and it hits quickly I bet all of them have the same problem.
