Well boys the cheetah ran hard today at Fontana .

Tommy ran 12.59 with his highest mph for the truck yet at this track also . I video'd many runs and I jacked it up on the video of the 2 12.59 runs and forgot to hit REC and left it on STNDBY . Im a real dumb ass sometimes . Did it twice actually . The run was against a new 07 Z06 . Tommy waxed him with a 12.59 to his 12.90 . Sorry I missed this one for you guys . Im a driver not a photographer .

The Cheetah kicks ass .

Did this with a more moderate tune than with the 40-94 also .

All I can say is this cheetah turbo is all it is made up to be .

Less timing , less pulse width , and lower egt's . And still ran a 12.59 even with a 1.8 60ft.

There is still some left , thats for sure . The verdict is now in and the cheetah passed the test with flying colors .

Tommy should be home in a while and maybe post some vids . We had to go work after track today and just got home .

theres still some issues to work on but so far so good. tunes are very simular not tht diffent. we will see how far we can push it. I am being a little withholding on my posts beacuse i want to give it a fair test to comapare to the 40-94 wich this whole test was ment to run against. theres pros and cons to every turbo choice. I can tell you a few things about the cheetha intital thoughts.

1.spools decent about the same as stock and def faster then the 94 on the low end

2. good drivability

3. quiter then the 40-94 exaust

4. mph seems to come up alot quicker from start to about 1/2 track

5. Egts seems to be about the same as the 40-94

6. truck shifts better and stays on power band better through out the range

7. fuel mpg seems to be lower

Theres a bit more but untill i test them out i will not post them right now untill my testing is completed. But so far soo good and it seems to be a nice setup. And am pleased so far with how it preforms :) I will keep you guys posted on how it pans out. I will post some videos when i have a chance but all the good ones didnt get shot

Ya Ya Ya , sorry I goofed it up and missed the Z06 kill .

Also when I say the verdict is in , I mean for myself .

I like it , and think this turbo kicks ass !

I dont know the tuning exactly , so I guess I shouldnt comment on it .

Me and my PPE tuner are done though and Im going to be running EFI and become a tuning jockey like you others soon . I guess it's time to go to the next level and learn all the tables and how they all work . Right now I know much about it except have never used it myself other than running some EFI tunes on truck from 1000hp . Im usually the wrench turner and soon to be tuning and learning more about EFI . Im sure I hang with all the right people to get some good tuning and learnig done for EFI and the kodiak .

I will post on my own truck in the near future with this set-up . And leave Tommy's for him to post on . Seeing the 12.59 and big mph got me all exited .

And I dont really know his tuning , that was just my take on it .

I guess there is still more testing to be done for Tommy , I think the writing is on the wall though .

I think tommy would need to run 9's to really get exited .

Or take his truck away for 4 months like me !! And know your just around the corner for some fun at the track .

Nice job at the track today Tommy. I have a feeling you'll break your 4094 times at Bakersfield the way it sounds.... Good luck, keep us updated.

Sounds good

What was the MPH? Tommy needs to get the 60' down and it will be there. The turbo lites hard and is tricky to leave good. whatever you gain on 60' you will see 1 1/2 times in the 1/4. Jeff

agrred on the 60fts the track prep well lack there of i think played a big role in it. i tried both 2nd gear and 1st gear launch still didnt stick. we will se how famoso is as i run my fastest times both et and mph there. my mph at fontana was 107.62 wich is alomst 2mph higher. then i ran there with the 40-94 A vvt in genral lights pretty hard off the line. i made over 14 runs yesterday with ever varing degree of launch 1st gear 2nd gear and waht not to see if i could get a good launch just wasent hapening. not the turbos fault thoe. so far soo good and I will keep every one posted on how it goes in the coming weeks :D on a side note we will see how it does today at the sled pulll wich i have no idea bout how to do and wht not should be interesting.:)

Cheetah pulling

Tommy, if your hanging wieght lock it in 3rd and let it eat. Get your speed up as quick as possible. If your not hanging weight you may run 4th gear if your RPM's are 4300(in 3rd) and the sled lets you run a little. Have fun Jeff

Change your TCM shift points.. Make the 1-2 at 4000 and the 2-3 at 3800 and then leave it in M3, you'll like it. It will be in 3rd in 20 feet anyways :D Make sure your rev limiter is at 4500 or so.

i ran at the track last night and te results werent that great. not the turbo though. at first i couldnt build any boost at the line. when i dd finally start building boost it was time to go and i wasnt sure what you guys are building. fastest pass was a 9.029 i the 1/8th with my best 60 ft. was 1.9 sec. did some logging. brayde wants to take a look at them he should have some suggestions. i will be going back in a couple of weeks. and i should have no problem getting down in the middle to low 8's

I have been to the track 5 times, and I don't think I've made 14 passes if I add them all up!!

Which converter are you running with beach??
