are the vane sizes and shapes on the LMM cheetah's similar to a powerstrokes?

just curious because that sounds a lot more like a 6.0 than a dmax.

No... The 6.0 uses the same vane as the LLY.

But the LBZ and LMM have a higher pitched whistle due to the shorter vane and the turbine I use.

It runs way better than a 6.0 I would imagine.

:D

I was referring to the exhaust "cackle", not the whistle. The cackle at WOT sounds like a 6.0...I just thought it was interesting because on stock turbo LLY-LMM's they definetly have a different exhaust noise at WOT than a 6.0

Larry Jewell said the same thing when he got his Cheetah.

Gone is the factory VNT backpressure sound that our trucks were known for.

You hear more motor "cackle" / rumble than a normal Dmax. I attribute it to the backpressure loss and less restrictive exhaust path. The 6.0 guys have a nice set of up pipes and a very nice exhuast housing.. but that's about it. That housing though flows very well and after the 6.0 whistle goes away you really hear the engines on those trucks. I agree.

Send Michael what you're running Larry and see how it runs.. I set him up with a fairly conservative fueling tune with higher pressure... If you don't mind ;)

Now Tommy.. I have a set of spare injectors heading my way :D Want to try the same setup as Jerrod? From what I can tell the tips from LMM to LBZ are interchangeable. The hole size is just smaller on LMM.

Then take her down to westech and lay a nice even 700 down ;)

brayden i will try to get some quality video at the track :D. larry i would love to try what you have. i finally got my lift pump put back on and changed the filter. it runs good but i cant seem to get the tires to light up. i havent done any boosted launches yet but i did get the sleeves put on so its coming.

hook up a dsp5 switch and I will fix you up :D
