Has anyone else noticed a tick on their LML after a oil change? My LBZ did it And after changing the oil in the LML yesterday I hear a tick on the driver side just curious.

Google it. Very common on lml. My buddy bought one last year and got all freaked out by it. He tried getting gm to buy it back.......no luck. Give it a week or two after oil change and it will go away.

Although mine has never done it; I have talked to quite a few people that have had it. Everyone of them said the noise went away.

My 2016. I put the first 300 miles on it and changed the factory fill and filter. Put Back Delvac1300 with a A/C Filter... In typical fashion Tick until it reaches 180*... Just get used to it for the 1st few hundred miles then it will go away.... I still do not buy GM's response of "Bubbles between the crank journal and the bearing saddles" causing the noise..

My 15 does it worse than any dmax I've owned. I am going to switch from rotella back to delo as I've been told it will not tick with it as bad. It didn't do it nearly as bad before when my dealer was servicing it, it really got loud the first time I changed the oil with Rotella...

Mine was BAD with ROTELLA 15W40 in it, and I do mean BAD! Switched to ROTELLA T6 5W40, and it went away. I tried MOBIL 1 5W40 synthetic, and it came back, went back to the ROTELLA T6, and it's gone again.

What's causing the tick? I've never noticed it on my truck. (Doesn't mean I don't have it though)

I wouldn't run Rotella it doesn't do as will in the Dmax as other oils.

Duramax's are the most tolerant diesels I know if... they'd run on friggin' Wesson oil.. its that all you had.

Name ONE truck that ever had a lubrication issue on Rotella?

Never a problem using RotellaT. Used it in all my engines. Have one with 450k on it and running strong.

I've used Rotella T-6 and have not had the tick in any of my previous trucks. Used Rotella 15w/40 in the '13 and no problems there either.

I used MOBIL 1 synthetic in my '04 and it developed the tick after about 500 miles; switched back to Rotella T-6 and it went away.
