Just a quick google search reveals the BMW's use the same EDC 17 ECM. They are stating the cover can be removed from the ECM... do some soldering... and presto you can tune them.

Of course warranty voided on the spot since you take the ECM apart... but we all don't worry about warranties around here.

I believe FORD is also using the same basic ECM, yet they used coding in there software that still allows the tune to be read out. EFILIVE has stated that if GM will add the coding to there tuning like some others do they will offer tuning for the LML. Ifenough people asked I imagine the guys at MOATES would make something to work for the LML, or maybe even make a roadrunner kit for the LML ECM to interface with the V2 and still retain EFILIVE's tuneability and ease of use. Reality though is the manufacturers are tired of teh black eyes they get when engines blow due to tuning and then teh customer blames the manufacturer. Even though it had nothing to do with the manufacturer for a failure in a tuned vehicle, they still get a black eye as far as word of mouth and the internet boards go as that customer will bad mouth them every chance he gets because his engine went or he fryed his trans. So GM took it to the next level to try and prevent this from happening is all.

Correct, the 6.7 ford shares injectors, fuel system/high pressure pump, and the same EDC-17 controller with the LML dmax.
