What I heard also Joe. I spent a few hours logging data off my buddies truck last week, and IAT was in the 50-60f range most of the time.

Several big HP engine builders (on the marine side) have adopted this Yettie cooler design atop the intake runners. First one I recall seeing was on the late Brad Smith's 2000hp twin turbo engines. Now Chief is building them also.

I see no issue with it if you cut the water off first and let them idle down for a wile before killing the power. But if your in say sub 60f water temps like on my river, and shut those puppies down hot, physics says they are gonna drip like an A-coil in your home AC unit. Where in a race truck with a air-water-air setup, that liquid coolant temp is gonna be much higher due to re-circulation factors.

I'm open to some further research. Say pulling a few glow plugs and running a scope down the bore 24hrs after hot shut down. Maybe my issue came from the engine setting exposed in a wrecked truck before PPE purchased it for the boat. But I can did up the pics of the puddle marks we found, there was heavy pitting.

Thanks for the info Kid, I agree on the overall lack of airflow for big numbers on the SC. Just wanted to make sure I had my facts right though on the purpose of the AF cam. SC and TT would be a wicked setup though.

Pardon the side track Hawk, this will be one BADA$$ boat when its done!

No problem, any/all info is very welcome, I'm sorting things out as I go.
Very tempted to build one Duramax with SC only to test.
Eliminating the turbo heat and remote intercooler plumbing would make a much cleaner/compact set up for a marine app
Just stack a big blower on a super chiller and run a BBC type wet headers straight out the transom. I'm good with sub 500hp in this boat
I'm not convinced the af cam is all that much help though

Does PSC or anyone have a power steering pump that will fit in the stock location and accept fittings for a remote reservoir?

Can I use the gear from my cp4's on the cp3's?
The 4's are keyed and have a dowel pin on the input shaft but the the gear seems to fit on the 3's otherwise

Yes, I used my cp4 gear when I put my stroker cp3 conversion on.. No problems..
I got kit from wehrli custom fab and they just said use red loctite and torque to spec..

I know I'm new here to this forum so if somebody else wants to say also that's fine..

It didn't occur to me that I had to swap out valve covers until I tried putting in the LBZ injectors. Ending up with quite a bit of lml stuff left over.
Really need two sets of truck harnesses if anybody knows a source.

It's not a "color" it's zinc chromate, all the anodize shops around here are out of business.
You will find it inside nearly all surviving vintage military aircraft because of its anti corrosion properties, especially regarding aluminum and salt water.

Thanks for FYI. I have a friend who works for Milodon and they make a lot of oil pans for motors that are on oil rigs(at sea). He was describing the powder coating process done to protect the pans from corrosion.
Can't wait to see this when its done.

Do you still have the lml exhaust manifolds? Would you sell me just a drivers side?

BBC bracket for the raw water pump lacks surface area and puts the pulley 1/4" too far forward
