Guy at SoCal gave me a whole report on it.
i heard that they also did some changes to the oil pump. any of you heard that?
Its ~15% bigger in capacity from what I understand. It is not a "direct" bolt-on to a 2001-2010 engine. I think the lb7/lly/lbz/lmm front cover doesnt clear the LML oil pump.

dang i was hoping to incorporate that into my build thanks ben
i have torn down very many LML's johnboy has bought most of the parts i had left, yes the oil pump is entirely different, the block mains and saddle are bigger, injectors are different, fuel system is different, pistons are different, block is beefy, front cover is spaced out further than prior models .200 reluctor gear is also spaced further away from the crank, oil pan is different too. Lots of changes.
Some guy on Duramax Forum claimed to have looked up pricing/parts availability on LML pistons, and supposedly they are $32 each. For the entire piston. Thirty-two dollars.
I told him when I hold an LML piston in my right hand, and a receipt from the dealer parts department with "total w/ tax: $36.92" printed on it, THEN ill believe him.
From you lookin at this, what do you think would need to be done to get this pump into the old block?
oil pump or injection pump?
