Some guy on Duramax Forum claimed to have looked up pricing/parts availability on LML pistons, and supposedly they are $32 each. For the entire piston. Thirty-two dollars.
I told him when I hold an LML piston in my right hand, and a receipt from the dealer parts department with "total w/ tax: $36.92" printed on it, THEN ill believe him.

Its ~15% bigger in capacity from what I understand. It is not a "direct" bolt-on to a 2001-2010 engine. I think the lb7/lly/lbz/lmm front cover doesnt clear the LML oil pump.
32 bucks eh? Yeah, I'm with you on that one. GM must be planning on blowing a set every 5k with that price...
dang i was hoping to incorporate that into my build
Oh it can definitely be made to work, its just not 100% "drop in" with an existing 2001-2010 oil pan/front cover.
i have torn down very many LML's johnboy has bought most of the parts i had left, yes the oil pump is entirely different, the block mains and saddle are bigger,injectors are different, fuel system is different, pistons are different, block is beefy, front cover is spaced out further than prior models .200 reluctor gear is also spaced further away from the crank, oil pan is different too. Lots of changes.
From you lookin at this, what do you think would need to be done to get this pump into the old block?

part number for left pistons are 19256948 right pistons are 19256949 they both come with the pin and list price is $31.19 a piece. Thats right from dealerworld
I work for a chevy dealership so if you want to see a receipt or something i can print one off on monday for you

lol 20.98 ea yea ok not sure if I trust the part or the price they have listed with part number.
the oil pump , figure maybe get a little better oiling and better pressure. maybe i dont know
