you can also call up industrial injection and buy just the elbow they supply with there kits. They have it cast with no ports for pcv or the resonator. Has an o-ring and is very nice, I use it on my builds. A question though, I have been using the factory "worm style" clamp and was wondering if someone has found a nice "t-bolt" style clamp for this application....

Thanks!
Dylan

Not yet Dylan... Mine is still holding up fine and doesn't leak any boost, I know it will fail eventually. I'll start looking again.

just make sure its not a 4294, they were the replacements for the K31s on the detroits & had internal wastegates

What's bad about it if it is? This has a wastegate & came off a series 60 Detroit....

I'd rather have a steel flange I can weld any bend/angle to so I have lee-way when making the kit/mounting the big turbo

Std. band won't work they are to wide. The factory worm clamp is skinny... There is not much room between the flange and the face of the compressor housing.

Call up wcfab in Illinois. I know for a fact the stock and aftermarket mouthpieces will leak. Also I think empire diesel sells just the flange but its like $60 bucks.

My 475 pushes about 33#'s through the stock turbo and the factory worm gear clamp has never gave me any trouble. Tested for boost leaks multiple times and never have any

Mine as well... But I would like a little beefier clamp. As often as I change stuff around the worm drive is going to wear out.:D

I keep the upgraded clamp instock and I made my own mouthpiece out of an AFE bladerunner. I machined a reciever groove and put an oring in it to seal it up. I would like to see the new S&B piece to see if it looks just like the one I made.
