Quick stat for the techie crowd. While recording the balance rate above, I was also capturing the raw injector pulse signals from the ECM on the 5v lines.

Screenshot 2024-08-30 045757.png

If you zoom into each individual pulse, and compare main pulse times [tagged on right], to the Bal Rate PID values, one can see how the ECM adjusts individual pulse times to compensate per stoke. All the pilots are pretty much identical. But at idle, the mains all vary according to crank acceleration or deceleration. And our +/- in Balance Rate values equals out to some X% of our above PW times. IE: 7 & 8

Reason we gotta be pretty spot on with our recorded pulse times, or ECM tries to correct based on what it last sent down the pipe...

Little more cruising around the neighborhood with the FUCM board after fixing some little issues and making some minor changes to the board. Running pretty good now. Very drivable. Almost like stock. Most might not even be able to tell the difference

And a hard acceleration to see what the smoke looks like

Balance rates in drive look good but main rate is still about half expected and in neutral it zeros out. So there is probably too much PW being added or the injectors are not turning off as quickly as they should so slightly more fuel then needed. New board is supposed to be able to address this. So we will be starting to migrate the code to that one soon

Nice! I need to make a setup like that for the T87 testing so the T87 and interface module can sit on my dash while testing lol.

Definitely helpful when you need to hook the scope up and see what it's doing while the engine is running. Plus you can see all the pretty lights on it 😁

Incredible work so far, y'all! Really would love to see these be readily available. The LB7 and LLY trucks deserve to live on.
