Question. With the lb7 lock up box w/swc does that disable some of the stereo controls to be able to use the lock up box with the swc?
You can configure it several different ways.
1. Steering wheel radio controls always control lockup controller (use this option if you have an aftermarket stereo or something and dont use the controls for the radio)
2. "manual" switching that is controlled by a separate toggle switch (that you mount on/under the dash or something) that allows you to flip between using the steering wheel buttons as "radio" or "lockup controller"
3. "automatic" switching that is controlled by the radio's power status; when the radio is OFF, the steering wheel buttons control the lockup controller. When the radio is ON, the steering wheel buttons control the radio.
The main difference between configuring it for option #2 and option #3 is that when you are using the steering wheel buttons to control the lockup controller (IE, during racing), the radio will have to be off if you set it up as option #3. Whereas option #2, you can still listen to the radio and rock out while you are racing....just flip the toggle switch before you pull up to the line. Then when you flip the toggle switch, the steering wheel buttons will now control the lockup controller. (obviously you can still control the radio volume manually via the knob on the radio itself though regardless of toggle switch position)
