To each their own I suppose. The stealing tunes thing was unacceptable and childish. You're idea of a business plan makes me laugh. Maybe because i'm a traditionalist and I am used to having to earn what I get makes me appreciate it more and value what I have. I also plan on keeping my truck for many years to come so selling it every six months yo me doesn't make sense. I am a hotrodder I like making things go fast do to me lifting a truck and living where I currently live doesn't make much sense. Now as j stated I love lifted trucks when they're A. Practical and B. Useful. Call me crazy but IMHO a 12" lift is nowhere near either A or B. And yes it did take me a while to reply back. I have a life and a job so I am not on these forums 24/7.

We have spent alot more then that on these trucks with lifts, strokers, tires and turbos. My customer spent a ton and is still spending because he wants what he wants. He is harder on this truck then anybody I have ever seen. Its a 4 or 6 inch lift not sure I didn't do it, new goodyear mtr kevlar tires 35" I believe and probably $60,000 plus in the engine. He hauls pumpjacks 600+ miles sometimes 3 days a week, gets it buried to the frame in mud then goes and races it. Alot of people say he has more money then sense. Actually he has several masters degrees and runs a multi million dollar business-he just knows what he wants. The problem seems to be opinions. Everybody has one-usually about someone else's stuff-which is why arguments get started in the first place. And sometimes jealously because we can't afford what they can. Its usually best just to keep our opinions to ourselves :thumb: Just my opinion:D

My trucks lifted. But I actually take it off road deep in the bush so it needs to be. Most guys where I live use their trucks for work and in the oilfield, ground clearance is never a bad thing!! Anything over an 8" lift is getting a little sketchy IMO though-especially when you tow 10 000lbs offroad through the mountains!

If GM would build a platform that was a little taller, most guys where I am from would leave them stock, maybe crank the bars up a little to fit bigger tires. The price you pay for a comfortable ride I guess!!

Oh yeah and I have the cut-out bushwacker flares because they are functional. If the tire isn't covered, DOT gets pissed.

Agreed although I'm not jealous because I do have the money laying around to lift it I just don't understand it and my opinions can be harsh so they're probably best kept to myself haha. I just can't convince the Mrs to let me build the motor. I'll admit Im jealous of folks but it's not the jacke up trucks it's you guys running 10s and 11s :D

And I completely understand your truck being lifted...it is put to use and reasonable. I just don't get the guys who have a serious issues with compensation

I dont see why you have a problem with guys putting lifts in trucks if they dont use them. It's their money. They do it because they can, thats America. Deal with it. The only reason I can think of you being all mad about it is because you're jealous that you dont have one because you dont have the money. I'm pretty sure Joker didnt state his business plan of buying, upgrading then selling trucks. He stated buy low sell high, which is the foundation of what one desires for all sales, does this always happen, no, some things depreciate rather than appreciate. You must not have gone to school at all, otherwise you'd understand this very basic concept.

Lift it to the moon. Its just jealousy, How is buying a truck building it and selling it for a profit not earning your money? Some people just need to Shut it.

I find it funny having friends come over and join a site just to talk shit. And I'd fair to say I know a thing or two more about freedoms and America than others LOL and I know it's peoples own decision to spend money how they see fit I just don't understand it.

Friends? I have no idea who he is, I just think that some peoples views are better kept to them self's.
Is this not a truck forum? I think trucks that have stock suspension look like crap. But I don't think any one is bashing them. Lower, Level Or Lift. Maybe that should be the next motor? LLL

For me it's all about performance. Ya I want the truck to look nice but for me it's all about HP and torque instead of looks

Until you own a lifted truck you never can understand it. I like the fact my truck sits up a little higher and its not running on pizza cuttin' wheels. The look is nice and the ride and functionality is damn good. I know the nuiances (sp?) and the issues that can happen and that its my responsibility if something goes wrong because I am taking the truck out of its originally intended design parameters. However modifying your truck whether its the engine or the suspension is all similar in that it is out of the OEM specs of what it is designed to do so why complain when modding the engine produces the same results?
