Here you go

I PMed this to Smokeshow a while ago.

2 10AN to 1/2 NPT #SUM-220753
1 8AN to 1/2" line fitting #RUS-639220
1 10AN to 8AN adapter #SUM-220045
1 10AN bulkhead #AER-FBM2074
1 10AN bulkhead nut #AER-FBM2104
4 10AN twist tite fittings #SUM-220703
1 10AN 90DEG fitting #SUM-220713
1 10AN twist tite hose 10' #SUM-220789
1 Fuel pump harness #PRF-50102
1 Edelbrockfuel pump #EDL-1792

Go to Kennedy Diesels tips section on his web site. I modded the top of the sender just like he did. Carefully disassemble the lower half of the sending unit. Remove stock pickup. I just cut off the large outlet port. And with a dremel I ground it out to fit over the Twist- tite hose from Summit Racing. Clean real well. Put pickup back together with the hose in pickup. Make sure to reattach the smaller return line. Now cut the hose off so it will reach the bottom of the 10AN bulkead fitting with a straight Twist-tite barbed fittng on it. Connect and reinstall. Run new line from th 90deg. fitting on top of the tank. Reinstall fuel tank. Mount fuel pump on frame. Plumb with the needed fitting. Cut factory fuelline off with a tubbing cutter. Install the 1/2 crimp to 8AN fitting with the 8AN to 10AN fitting in it with a Straight Twist-tite fitting on the other end. Run hose to fuel pump. Run the fuelpump harness. Turn on an check for leaks. If your idle is lopey the fuel pump pressure is to high. 13 to 15psi works good on LB7s. LLYs will act funny over 10psi.

I've found that there is a bulkhead with the 90* fitting already on it, therefore no need to buy the two seperate and it saves a little jingle. ;) Haven't made purchases yet though. Also found the bulk head nut to be a fair bit cheaper altough it is a different brand.

The parts list that I am proposing to get is this (from Summit Racing):

10' 10AN Twist Tite Hose....................SUM-220789......$34.95
(3) 10AN Twist Tite Barbed Fittings......SUM-220703......$5.50 ea.
(1) 10AN Bulk Head Nut......................SUM-220039......$2.39
(1) 10AN 90* Bulkhead fitting..............EAR983310ERL....$14.95
(2) 1/2" NPT to 10AN Twist Tite Barb....SUM-220753......$3.95 ea.
(1) 10AN to 8AN Adapter....................SUM-220045......$6.88 ea.????
(1) 8AN to 1/2' Line Fitting..................RUS-639220......$11.88

Someone please let me know if I've left something out. I tried going from the pickup to the OE hard line in my mind and this is what I come up with needing in the end.

Thanks again John for the help with this.

Anybody care to verify my list as being complete?

Are there ports on the high pressure side of the CP3 that can be tapped into to run a direct feed line to with a "small" pump feeding it. Basicly have a pump feeding the low side and then a pump feeding the high side tap? Just thinking out loud and don't have a picture of a CP3 available nor have I seen one physically to be able to know.

I thought of these things while trying to figure out in my mind how the MITUSA works. I know how it works as far as the pump goes but I don't know where its plumbed into the system. I know its after the FPRV but how? Through the FPRV is the only inlet to the CP3 isn't it from the factory? This leads me to wondering where the dual feed line kits come out of the CP3 and where they go to... rail?

Just rambling on here. Still haven't the funds or my mind made up on what I want to do for fuel system yet. I know I am going to need to be able to maximize my CP3s abilities before next year cause I'm starting to look at pulling rules and chargers and most the time, single CP3 is the rule in the 2.5 classes.

I didn't read this entire thread but just to post some misinformation I posted in the past.

I found out this weekend the Edelbrock 1792 is not flow though :(

Don't try to sled pull without it plugged in

Also Blue died driving done the road with still unplugged with a tow tune:eek:

At least we found out why my sled pull sucked

it goes to the stock filter first

comes out of the filter into the cp3,lly and lb7 are different
but basically the high pressure line comes out of the cp3 into the fuel rail

might want to check out product engineering. I have run their pump on many street cars and race cars with no failures. Called them today and they said they recommend running diesel through their pumps for racers in the off season. Recommended the street pump for a lift pump. also made mention that a certain diesel company may start marketing them. This is what I am going to try in a couple of weeks after i get it on i will let everyone know how it works.

this site is awesome!
