Lift pump for higher hp (750+) trucks what fuel system are you guys running?

My truck has been cutting out HARSHLY at 85mph every quarter mile pass! thought it was tuning but wasn't. Didn't chase the grimlin much because it ran 11.9's to 12.00's every pass. Today i finally got my cousin out of his house and as soon as i launch my fuel pressure gauge burys at 0 even with 3/4 tank of fuel it does it too. Whats wierd as it never shows that rail pressure or pw is decreasing but both times today launching right off the bat 0 fuel pressure. I run a FASS 95gph right now that is about 5 years old. So what do you guys reccomend for a higher hp truck? Should i do the pickup mod while im at it? I can run my truck right down to 1/8 tank and never had a problem with the fass sucking air but now its just worn out im assuming. Would a big airdog system or fass be sufficent?

Guy doesn't have the billet pickup anymore on his website. Not even sure if i would really need it or not but was just looking around and didn't see it.

I put a Fass 260GPH on mine with a fuel sump. 5/8 feed line all the way up.

The Fass is nice cause it has a boost reference port so mine is always 10 psi or higher.

Thanks, It looks like airdog says its setup doesn't make you run a different draw straw or a pickup. It says there setup fixes the 1/4 tank of fuel issue also.

Im rumning a airdog 150 with ppe pick up tube. Has 5/8 line to the pump and factory 1/2 line to the cp3 (deleted the factory filter head as well). I have never had an issue with fuel pickup on a low tank. If flat ran mine down to a half gallon in the tank and no issues.

Dont know about fuel dropping out though as my gauge is on its way and the big tune goes in tonight

I run an ad 200 haven't watched it on the big tune yet, my fass 150 wouldn't maintain. Air dog said it will. Guess I will find out. I also run to a fuel block then two seperate lines to each pump

I still have my dual Kennedy's on my truck. I haven't called John yet to discuss this but do you guys think that his dual pumps will support 1000+HP? I already installed a 1/2" fuel pickup.

Ive heard a lot of guys running two lift pumps now. What do you guys think of the OP just adding a second 95 gph? All things considered one big pump seems less complicated.

BAM! There it is. Duel stage for 6 years now. Push me pull me system. The one under the hood has a bypass and kicks in on a pressure switch at 20psi when I have it armed.

Huge thanks to Michael Oaks (super diesel) and Fleece performance (Caleb, Brayden, Chase). Michael answered my phone call on a saturday moring and talked with me about his dual lift pump configuration he runs. That was a huge help to talk to him. Since i have to work 5 full days next week and have another diesel race friday night Fleece pulled through and i have a AD 165 headed my way coming back with sting and smokey D! Thanks Caleb you da man! I took the pre filter off before my fass and still the same fuel pressure so looks like im going to install this AD and see what happens. I really think this 95gph FASS is just plain tired and didn't want to add another pump in front of this one since i truley think its worn out. Anyways GREAT customer service out of both camps:thumb:

Has anyone heard of MITUSA pumps? The name is an acronym for made in the usa. They are belt driven, quiet and have huge potential.

Thats what i'm gonna be running on mine once I get the engine back in the truck.

Will you post a new thread after you evaluate this pump? I would be very interested to get feedback on this product. I have only read about them.

If Im not mistaken "ChevyDiesellly" runs one. I saw his truck at Diesel Addiction when he was building his engine. If my memory serves me correctly he had one.

I've ran both size MITUSA pumps. I've never had any issues with them. And you CAN run them with dual cp3 just need the right bracket to mount it. I don't have a gauge to read what psi I'm getting at wot

I can see it being difficult with dual cp3's, there is just something i find appealing about a belt driven pump, my mind tells me its a better solution than an electricly run pump, and i dont like the sound output from elictrical pumps, but i am a FNG and have only my misguided logic to drive my deluded thoughts
