Bust'em, your Sammie looks like a badass! Beautiful dog!

I'd love to do some hog/pig or havelina (sp?) hunting with dogs. Seems cool as heck!!

Y'all surely aren't the crazy bastages that slip in & knife the pig/hog/whatever once the dogs have it are you?!?! That's insane!!! I'd like to have lowriders 458 socom ar15 or 12ga slug or something much more substantial than a dang knife!! lol

Although I can see where close proximity would be an awesome rush!!!

They say we're starting to get ferrel pigs here in KY but I've sure never seen any. IDK if they're out west in the flats or east in the mtns. I'm guessing mountains, but theyre normally in flat terrain areas aren't they?

Yes that would be us. Lol I think they will go any where. One of there origins is Russia so I think they are capable of going anywhere. But if you don't have them count your blessings cause they tear shit up.

How do you knife them? throat or try to stab the heart or what?

Probably a really noob question but is ferrel hog meat anything like store bought pork? I'm sure its not the same but can you tell you're eating pig or is it just totally different and a taste all its own?

Stab them rite in the heart. The Schultz and the 90 lbs and under are the best eating. The bigger ones are tougher and have a gamier taste. They are all the same breed where we hunt but some are mixed with different types of pigs.
