1961 Ford Falcon 383 SBC

Sold my duramax race truck and bought this. Runs 10.5 @130mph very consistently. Headed down to CA on the 7th to pick it up. Very excited to get it on the track and hopefully not worry about breaking it everytime like I did Max'd Out and White Out when I was running it full power.

Here are a couple of mine...

Honda ST1300 and a Kawasaki ZX-14.

My other gasser is a '70 Chevy K20 plow truck with a 4 speed and a 383 torque hound. She is really ugly, but plows snow like nobody's business; and fills the passenger seat with snow from the hole in the cab corner. It might have something to do with the chains on all 4 corners...I can't seem to keep the front crosses in the silly axles .... Picts tomorrow on the '70.

Here's some pics of one of the other babies, hopefully the Dmax will have as much hp as her one of these days.

I'm an avid Camaro collector, but I can't seem to find any pics the wife has taken at car shows etc.

Ken, you are old so you probably know the answer to this question lol

What is the deal with the solid front axles on the old gassers?

There are a bunch of reasons, back in the 60's you had to run a hood so this allowed you to set the engine lower, it also allows for better weight transfer, is lighter, takes out the wheel droop of a IFS so when you do a wheel stand the wheels come down straight, there by is safer. Allows more room for headers.

I believe there was a rule about the max distance the center line of the crank had to be from the ground, I believe it was 24". Some belief that the 24 inch rule was put in the books to eliminate the Ramchargers C/A from competition. I don't know that for a fact but the chevy guys of the day bitched about having to compete against a, "factory team."

I'm sure there are other reasons. I like them because they look cool as hell. :thumb::thumb::D

Been doing a lot of work in the body shop, had the front clip sprayed and now working on the roof/sail panel.

Ran a 10.5@140, with a 1.8 60 , getting a 1.5 area should get me 9.8-9.9 area:woott:

Went to 103ci this past winter with Crane 316 cams. Seems to run good for a hog :)

Nothin too special 02 ws6 6 speed Trans am with some bolt ons, lowered, clutch, and some super sticky treads. I have heads sittin in the garage for it but the Dmax build is delaying me going any further with it at the moment
