I put HID's in my truck 2+ years ago and I just had regular old filament bulbs in the clearance and DRL bulbs. I was made aware of these bulbs on another forum so I ordered them up, they are called switchbacks.

I don't like having DRL's so I deleted those in favor of another clearance light+signal light.

What's cool about them is when you aren't signaling they are white (couple choices for you) but when you signal they turn to orange.

There's type 1 - alternates between white/orange/white/orange

Then type 2- white then turns and stays orange while signaling, then goes back to white once signal is canceled.

I have the type 2's

Here's a video, sorry my headlights are a little bright.

I got mine from v-leds.com

These are the exact ones I got:

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/...-LED/TYPE-2-DUAL-COLOR-CHANGING-p5846227.html

If you guys plan on doing it let me know, you have to either install load resistors or modify your blinker relay do that you don't get a hyperflash. Or you can buy a new relay for 70-100 bucks. 5 minutes + the stock relay is easier though. :D

The lights are priced out per pair. V-leds have a good warranty too, I fried 3 of my switchbacks (completely my fault ) and they sent me new ones anyways.

edit: If any of you guys end up ordering from V-leds lemme know, they send me a 10-15% discount code every month. I also changed all my 194 interior and taillight bulbs out, and added led strips to the footwells. Shoulda came that way

Wow What a light show!

What brand of HID headlights/ fog lights do you have/ reccomend?

I'd like to upgrade my lights but am clueless when it comes to what to get.

Also would love to see a vid of your LED footwell lights and interior lights.

Are the LED interior bulbs plug and play?

Thanks!

Where do you get this relay from?
I ordered new led interior lights for my truck from recon 3 years ago and ended up with ones for an '82 or something. They weren't even close to fitting, and I have since lost them so I have yet to actually change the interior lights but I still want to! I changed the license plate lights and they lasted 6 months and then both quit and didn't fit well either. The ones in my DRL's are working great though........so my experience with LED's seems to be hit or miss.

Interior lights are plug and play. My HIDS are VVME HIDS. I want the slim mount ones off of v-leds though.

I used the stock relay. It's up in the dash on the drivers side. Just turn your signal on and find where the sound is coming from and pull that relay and do this to it:

Take the 6th "leg" off very carefully.

I bought one from Napa and it worked for me, I returned it though because free is better that 70 bucks I paid.

Tried the 6th leg removal on my truck. Didn't work. I Just have LED turn signals on the front. Even with just the two it was blinking fast, but after the moding of the relay they just came on. So I went to AUto ZOne to get a $15 replacement and figured I would get load simulators. Anyways, put the new relay in an it blinks normal as if I do not have LED's installed. Have no idea why. Just wondering if the new relay will work with trailers or my plow hooked up?
