Tried the 6th leg removal on my truck. Didn't work. I Just have LED turn signals on the front. Even with just the two it was blinking fast, but after the moding of the relay they just came on. So I went to AUto ZOne to get a $15 replacement and figured I would get load simulators. Anyways, put the new relay in an it blinks normal as if I do not have LED's installed. Have no idea why. Just wondering if the new relay will work with trailers or my plow hooked up?

Only one way to find out. Give it a whirl and let us know how it works.

So I put my switchbacks in my front signals and went to pull my relay out to modify it like Cornell showed and my flasher is nothing like his. Mine is a rectangle about one inch by three inches with 10 pins. Anyone know if I can modify this flasher?

Can anyone tell me what bulb socket you use for the drls when changing them to switchbacks? Are you cutting and splicing the original DRL sockets into the turn signal wiring harness or are you purchasing a new socket?

If purchasing new, where are you purchasing them?

Thanks in advance.

3157 socket is what you use. It can be bought at most parts stores. You replace the DRL socket with that.

Wire in parallel with the existing turn signal socket.

Then just tie the DRL socket out of the way.

That's what I assumed but wanted to make sure. I've seen it done a couple of different ways but I don't like hacking into the harness anymore than I need too.

Thanks jliddle.
