i can buy them and put then in my lbz with no physical changes other than an o ring to center it in the bore?
thanks

I only know that LLY injectors fit into LBZ heads because that's how I ran Casper for 2-3 years. I've always run the correct electrics for the injector model.

Now, would it work electrically? That I can't say. It might, it might not. Just because the voltage is different doesn't automatically make things not work.

I really doubt it would fry anything, but who knows?

But it does make me wonder.

If I can get LLY injectors to work with LBZ electronics, I suddenly have more injector options for my truck.

Hmmm...

If the ohms are the same, it should work, right?

well then, theoretically, to swap an lly to lbz electronics like one or two members here have claimed they have done already, all one would have to do is use a lbz GPCM, lbz rail pressure sensor, and a 6-speed tranny, right?

Time to bring this old thread up. I'm wanting to do a Lbz long block swap into my lly. Soo from what I've read I will be using the Lbz long block with my lly injectors(with bigger o-rings) and grinding a tooth off the reluctor wheel. And I leave the Lbz glow plugs in and run them off the lly harness and control module correct???

correct.

and you'll have to run an 01-05 front cover because the water pump and fan pulley mounting is a little different.

But, yeah, to put an LBZ long block into an 04-05 LLY, pull the LBZ front cover, grind a tooth off the reluctor wheel, put an 01-05 front cover on, and put some bigger o-rings on the LLY injectors and you're good to go.

Thats whats in my truck (2005 LLY) right now; dmaxfireman's original factory LBZ long block.

Ok bring this back up again. Ben said to grind the tooth off to the right of the gap if it were installed on the crank. Well which right lol? The right if the gap is at the top or at the bottom?

Here you go look at this pic. One on the right is the Lbz and one on the left is lly. See the arrow pointing to the tooth? That's the one you grind off.
