Well i didn't listen when everybody told me i would want more. I am already considering upgrading from the Stealth 64 after only a few months on the truck and this time i'm looking for more input. My truck is a DD at this point but racing is what i like to do with it. The heaviest thing i tow is an 18 ft. steel flatbed trailer with a mid size Kubota. My new goal is to run an 11.99 or faster with the truck in daily driven trim (no further weight reduction than i have already done) on the 285/75/16s. This is my main reason for wanting to upgrade. I have 30 over injectors, built trans, and all the supporting mods ( i can list them all if that helps). My CP3 is the stock 60,000 mile unit with a new FPR last year. I will be willing to upgrade the CP3 as well to match the new turbo ( i was told it would be a waste with the 64). Some turbos that i have looked at are the RCD 66/74, II Silver Bullet 66, HTT Promax 66/74, but am open to all input. What are your thoughts?

S366. Can make good power and be twinned later nicely.

If you're gonna go from a 64 to a 366 you might as well twin the 64 or go to an s400. With all the shit they can do with the ihi platform I don't see a need for a 366 anymore. Stay small or go big.

i personally have the 64, i went with it because i feel anything more and you are really pushing your luck. i love the top end pull of the 64 and the stockish like spool. as long as you keep it around the 32-35 psi mark, turbo should last pretty long. This turbo really lowered my egts on my max effort tune vs the old one

Not sure on the weight. I don't know of any public scales around here. It is an extended cab short bed with the spare and all it's mounting equipment gone and the passenger battery and all it's mounting gone. 285/75/16s on pyos. No extra accessories such as 5th wheel hitch bumpers light bars etc.

With where you are twinning it would be your best alternative for a do everything truck. A twin kit using a s480 would run 11s easy and pull anything you wanted to pull. Would be your cheapest way as well.

X3 on twinning. Cheaper option and you'll have good spooling/power.
Your stock motor is your limiting factor now.
Dual cp3's will help but again your rods is the weak point.

Send me that stealth 64 and I'll modify it so you can get more out of it!!!:thumb::D

I the same truck as you and have not removed anything. I'm about 6900 with me (200#) in it full tank of fuel and I have a B&W hitch.

How strong are the shafts on the IHI, especially with a bigger turbine wheel? Is anybody running a external wastegate when pushing a twinned or tripled set up hard?

No need for an external gate, the stock IHI wastegate port is pretty damn big. Stealth 64 uses a stock turbine wheel and has been used in a twin kit that ran 10's on fuel with an Allison. Also know of a guy locally running the Stealth 64 with a S480 and that thing runs pretty damn strong.

Will surging snap the shafts?

There are no upgraded turbine wheels/shafts for the IHI; unless you put an S300 cartridge in it.
The stock waste gate is pretty good on the IHI if you set it up right.
