Wow, did you monitor exhaust pressure? I'd be happy with a safe 30-32psi of boost. Maybe it will help with my egt while towing. With out a regear these tires put my sweet spot up to 80mph. At 70 mph I'm at a constant 1200* with a 20k load.

I've got property across from iron pony I run my construction and roll off dumpster business out of, and property out in london where we run used semis and equipment out of. We run older iron but it's solid and clean.

Sorry to see your bad luck but glad we can get you taken care of. This 2.5IHI Stg2 of mine is a 63.5mm Billet wheel(my personal design) and is good up to 670hp with no sacrifice of lowend just more mid and top end power with it. Make the truck a lot of fun to drive.:thumb:

This came yesterday, getting er installed Waiting on some exhaust bolts and gaskets I was expecting to be here. Still have to clean the intercooler out. Maybe by wed I'll be finishing up, but probably won't finish till next weekend with how busy work is right now.

Finally got back around to this project this weekend and got her back on the road!!! I can't tell a difference between the two. The one that popped was a ported and polished ihi with the batmo wheel. The new one is not ported with the bigger wheel by danville, and a ppe boost valve. I'm on lbz regulator stock fueling with 20%nozzles, new turbo makes 22-23 lbs bounces a little ,old turbo did 25. Probably need to test for leaks but I know I've got the fuel for 27-28 psi. I can get to 1400 egt pretty easy on flat road. Pressure is being measured at the y bridge with a autometer gauge . I was under the impression the boost valve would get me to 26-27 psi. What else could be happening? Weak wastegate?

First heavy tow with the new turbo, got a say it keeps the egts in check. Usually would hang at 1200-1300 with the last one. 1100° is the average with the new one.

At 670hp it was 38psi iirc.

Any ideas what causes this? Putting this thing back together after number 7 injector took a crap and found this. I'm pretty sure this truck hates me now, cause it doesn't get alot of attention anymore. Boots are all good on the intake. Only thing I can think of is I left something in something when I put it back together in a hurry
