New member and looking for some help. I have a 02 lb7 I replaced all 8 injectors 30xxx miles ago with 25% overs. Yesterday had one stick open on me. Ran a test on it today i ran a shut down each injector and it looks like #6 is stuck. I dont wanna go though this again down the road. Ive head the truck since 2010 and love it so i plan on keeping it around forever. So... Im looking to do a lly head swap on it. Good or bad idea? Ive seen on here were everyone says it hard to do on a 01-02 and say its easy on a 03-04 but cant find anything that goes into detail on what needs to be done? Any help is appreciated plan on pulling the motor this weekend. Thanks. :beer

While Im at it it i plan on building the bottom end while im there. :thumb:

Some info on the truck: 02 ccsb with 200,000, efilive, intake, 25% over injectors, fass 150, revmax tc with suncoast internals with deep pan, nates transfer case, Ma tranfer case brace, yukon ring and pinion, ats diff cover etc.

2002 all electronics are different, what I did with my 02 was buy a complete wrecked truck
And swap all the harnesss over is body, dash, engine, front lights, rear lights doors, pretty much made my 02 an 05. There is also Ben who makes a conversion harness but he’s a busy man. His harness is for 01-02 which keeps everything inside stock you’ll need the engine and truck side harness’s top end and ecm. There’s a few different ways to do this.

2003+ is plug and play you’ll still need ecm ficm and harness’s and top end but a lot smoother than what some of us have done

The swap from an lb7 to an lly is essentially the same for all years of the lb7. 01-02 will need a modified harness (lly ecm/tcm truck side harness) and tune for it to be considered a plug in play. Whereas the 03/04 doesn't need any modifications to the harness and will work properly with a stock lly tune.

As far as the components needed for this swap, 01-04 lb7 are all the same. You'll need the entire top end of the lly engine with a complete fuel system, engine harness and truck side harness to fuse box, ecm, ficm, nsbu, passenger ic plumbing and intake system. Everything else from your lb7 will work (including your tcm).

If you need a modded 01-02 lly conversion harness lmk, I can get you one.

shoot me a pm or text if you need more info...……..

Talk to Brent about Sac injectors, may do what you want without having to go through the work of swapping LLY parts over

Sac injectors, solid install, quality lift pump and call it done. No more issues
