I have never seen a different brand of the same weight oil help with a low oil pressure problem. I have seen where a higher viscosity (such as a 20w50 vs a 15w40) will raise oil pressure on an engine that needs some help. It isn't a real fix, but it may be a bandaid to get you by until you can afford to pull the engine and install some new bearings.

You guys just kill my hopes hahaha. I'm just hoping I can re-use my pistons at ~270k miles vs buying new. It doesn't have tons of blowby. I sent an oil sample in just to ensure its not fuel. The oil level isn't climbing.
