I haven't had the time to make a video yet... might try today. And I would love to pair this with a billet s475, the response and air flow would have to be amazing

Here is a crappy cell phone video of it wide open on my street tune, I have another video of it with just regular acceleration but it keeps messing up while I'm uploading it. BTW I have dual 6" stacks so.the whistle is louder than the video lets on its just my stacks are loud

I won't want to split that thing in the pickup. I've removed mine twice now and I'd much rather remove the turbo than split it. I've taken 2 apart to paint and one came apart & back together just fine; the other was more a little more difficult.

I may have gotten lucky but my down pipe and up pipe bolts came off just fine using a long 1/2" drive flex ratchet; if I didn't have that it would have been a pain. A top side creep in my opinion is a must as well, you can work on your engine bay all day and not have sore knee's.

Once you have it out all you have to do is hold the exhaust wheel with a 12pt 14mm(I believe that's the size) socket and loosen the intake wheel with a 13mm socket; the threads are back wards though.

The first one I just gave the oil drain bolt flange a good hit with the hammer but that messed the hole up some; the drain line bolted back on fine just a little tighter. For the second one I just hit the exhaust housing in 3 spots, see the attached picture. I bounced around from spot to spot constantly checking the exhaust wheel by rotating it to make sure it doesn't hit the exhaust housing. If you do that working it around it will loosen itself off; again this was done outside the pickup.

Just my $0.02, I hope it helps

:yup: remove the turbo its way easier IMO,I bent the turbine shaft trying to split the turbo from the vband in the truck...No Bueno! FWIW I recently dyno my truck 540/1022 ,Batmo, downpipe tune, and exaust Stock injectors/nozzles(actually from pensicolla diesel) i picked a wapping 60hp from the last time dynoed 480/858Stock turbo/& injectors, atp tune and exaust. To me it was well worth it power/sound/Cash wise!:thumb:

Glad to hear I'm not crazy :D in my thinking.

Good job on the numbers, I'd like to dyno my pickup some of these days after I build my transmission, install batmowheel, up pipes, exhaust, etc.

I'll being taking my turbo out for a 3rd :spit::spit: time the 2nd week in October to install a batmowheel.

You are right it's a lot of work, but in the end it's worth it if you have the time. I freaking love mine but I just took the turbo out and it made it easier

Theres a thread over at CompD concerning these wheels and how quickly some are scattering, wiping out chargers. Apparently, its coming from a lack of balance in the wheels itself.

I personally couldnt justify the expense to install one of these, concerning the work involved per hp realized. Would just be better just to go to a larger charger altogether in the first place.
