I suspect Banks is talking a fairly smoke free HP number. Particulates in the exhaust start to become visible at around 18:1, Kory was guessing they'd be close to 15:1. So I can see where Banks might call it short.

And Kory is probably talking about all the low end air with those new heads, that's where the ability to make a sweet tq number comes in without over fueling it.

I would like to see some egt #s , I know mine runs pretty dang hot compared to any of the previous year trucks about 125-200 degrees hotter across the board there have been times pulling hills with the trailer I have to look away from the gauge lol. And this was the same stock or with the banks tuner with or without the intake . Seemed to not help any .

i wouldnt even worry about it if its the same as stock. LML's run high EGT's too. buddy of mine was freaking out that his truck was hitting 1200* max when towing his heavy boat. i have told him over and over again, its fine! stop looking at the damn gauge! it literally will not go higher than that as there is a limit on post turbo EGTs with the factory sensor so it will defuel once they hit 950ish*. he never had the CTS2 in teh truck prior to the deletes and i told him "do you not realize what stock sees for temps? they will hit 1350+ constantly during the summer and pulling loads. Seriously, stop worrying or im pulling the damn EGT probe out of your shit". he stopped bitching :roflmao:

I’ve noticed 1400-1500° temps at the manifold on mine pulling loads! I just look the other way, and hold ‘er steady...

I can hit 1000 degrees in the l5p no trailer light acceleration to 55mpg with ease I try to shift manually when towing cars. (Two car trailer) my previous Lml not the compound one ,just the stock one with the normal weight loss stuff had to try an reach 1100 fully loaded with cruise on . I was just wandering if anyone else had some gauges on their l5p to know how normal it was .

Gale banks is good, but when something is where it excatly shouldn't be. It's pretty much completely wrong to him from what i gather. I'm following his studies on rear differential covers, he hasnt released the info yet, but what heis testing and showing already is steering me away from buying a Danville one ( mainly to match my turbo ), he has brought up some seriously valid points already on why rear diff covers are bad lol

Ya, but Kory seems to be pretty rough on VVTs. I’m sure Gale is leaving some on the table, but if you ain’t going max effort I doubt it’s much.

I would be willing to bet a small chocolate milkshake from chick-fli-a that it was someone internal that let that information out...;)
GM looks good to the EPA the way they have been making things harder for us aftermarket enthusiasts!
Unlike Fomoco and fiat

Nah. Their the lbz of the newer body style. They’ll hold their value.

I agree...

Lots of tuners with new tables, cheap options for it loading tunes, lots of available hard parts, have them figured out is the biggest thing now, etc...
